“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Mexican Army takes a field trip

The Mexican military took a field trip into US territory recently....

Why aren't these guys dead? Though I'm sure Obama and Janet Napolitano would frown upon US military offering any resistance to the Mexicans testing the waters of our border defenses. This isn't the first time the comical Mexican military has ventured above the border. What are they up to?

The Danes get terrorists to self-deport....by showing them boobs

I know what you uptight feminists are thinking, "I've had it with Ed being a typical chauvinistic pig. He'll use any excuse to post pictures like this that objectify women."
Well, regardless of the level of my chauvinism which is debatable, this is actually a serious news story about Islamic extremism and how to deter it from immigrating to your country....

From FoxNews -- Want to immigrate to Denmark? Then you need to be able to handle to look at a pair of naked women’s breasts, at least if Peter Skaarup, foreign policy spokesman of the far-right Danish People’s party has his way.

According to Skaarup, a documentary film about Denmark that will be shown as part of an upcoming immigration test for foreigners needs to have a pair of breasts in it, to intimidate any extremists from attempting to enter the tiny Scandinavian country.

What a brilliant idea! As a condition of immigration, force people to accept the lifestyle variations they're likely to encounter while living there. If they have a problem with it, send them on their way, or at least patiently explain to them that your country might not be the best place for them to live.

Immigration thugs keep the bums and toss the desirable

This is precisely why the behemoth federal government should be in charge of as little of American life as possible...

Angela Boneva always thought she was an American, never imagining that valued piece of her identity could be stripped away.

Because her father was born in Indiana, an American consulate in Bulgaria bestowed U.S. citizenship on Boneva when she was growing up there in 1981.

Boneva, now 34 and a married mother, settled into a quiet American lifestyle in Niles — until the day a letter arrived from the U.S. State Department, upending her world. In six indifferently worded paragraphs it said, in effect: There was a mistake. You're not an American.

She's now worried she could be deported.

Ms Boneva is an assimilated, functioning, productive, lawful, taxpaying member of society who, through no fault or intent of her own, is the victim of an underachieving flunky bureaucrat's mistake from years ago. And now she's drawn the attention of a smarmy grunt at the immigration dept. who might have her deported. Yet, every year, this same department welcomes with open arms tens of thousands of Mexico's most indigent criminals and bums into the country to sponge of the American taxpayer.

And democrats still want the same bureaucracy that has ruined our education system, bankrupted Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, raped us with corrupt progressive taxation, and ignored the security of our borders, to control our entire health care system?

Unless the intent is to degrade the country into a second-rate nanny-State, why would you want to do something so stupid as deport productive, law-abiding citizens who committed no crime to get here?

The 2010 Census starts to unravel

Finally, some good news on the immigration front....sort of....

From the Washington Times - Angered by President Obama's lack of success in legalizing illegal immigrants, some Hispanic activists are urging all Hispanics to boycott the 2010 census as a sign of displeasure.

Other groups have asked the federal government to suspend immigration raids while census takers are in the field, hoping that will make illegal immigrants more likely to respond to questions.

This is excellent news! If the legal Hispanic population boycotts the census, then the illegal population(12million strong), which tends to coalesce among the legal Hispanics, would be rightly under-represented for the next 10 years. I say rightly because they shouldn't be included in the census of American citizens in the first place. At most, any benefits that illegals enjoy should come from their supporters who are legal. They should have no demand on the income of, or benefits afforded, American citizens.

The immigration raids should have been stepped up, and as many illegals deported as possible in preparation for the census. They should be afraid to show themselves, choosing instead to reside in the desperate, shadowy world of illegality.

Throwing open the gates...such as they are

The democrats want a permanent majority in DC, and the fastest way to achieve that is to legalize the 12 million illegals already here, and promising them free food, education, and health care will make them democrats for life. Well why not let in another 12 million and we'll legalize them too....

(CNSNews.com) - Even though the Border Patrol now reports that almost 1,300 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border is not under effective control, and the Department of Justice says that vast stretches of the border are “easily breached,” and the Government Accountability Office has revealed that three persons “linked to terrorism” and 530 aliens from “special interest countries” were intercepted at Border Patrol checkpoints last year, the administration is nonetheless now planning to decrease the number of Border Patrol agents deployed on the U.S.-Mexico border.

I swear, the treachery of the Obama administration knows no bounds. They are going to remove 384 agents from the southern border and redeploy some of them to guard the dangerous Canadian border....are you kidding me? Guard the Canadian border from what? Unemployed comedians sneaking in? What this amounts to is Obama kicking wide open, the back door to our country and inviting every diseased, pregnant, ignorant, jobless, slacker from Mexico into our living rooms. Wages for all kinds of jobs will be depressed as a result and not only will the illegals be poor, the people who got displaced or who have to work for sub-market wages will be newly poor too....exactly what liberals want.....as many Americans toiling in misery and poverty as possible, because a poor American needs government help and they'll vote for whoever promises them the biggest goodie bags filled with other peoples' money.
Guard the Canadian border....gimme a break!

Mexicans welcome in US, but not Canadians

I'm sure you've heard by now about this Canadian national who stole this Cessna 172 and flew it across the US border, chased by two F-16's, and finally landed it on a road in Missouri. Comically, the cops have charged him with among other things, "Unlawful Entry into the United States".

So let me see if I understand this correctly, if you're Canadian and you sneak across the border, we'll charge you with an immigration crime because apparently, unless you are a comedian or a member of Rush, we really, really don't like Canadians. But if you are Mexican and you sneak across the border by the tens of thousands, with nothing to offer but leaf-blowing services and neediness, we literally throw bags of fabulous cash and prizes at you?

Man, it would suck to be Canadian right about now.

Too close to home

Gangland massacres, killings for hire, huge sums of cash, methamphetamines, cocaine, and marijuana, weapons, victims tortured with electricity to send a message, Columbian neckties, etc......

What's that you say? Has the Italian Mob found it's way to southern states? Why no, it hasn't. THESE ARE ILLEGAL MEXICAN ALIENS!!!! Right here in my town, 5 illegal aliens were tortured and then massacred by other illegal aliens, police think to make a statement to others not to cross the drug pushers.

"But Ed", you whine, "these kinds of crimes happen all the time among American drug gangs. This isn't an illegal alien problem, it's a drug culture problem."

Wrong you are, ignorant reader. But for the shocking dereliction by what passes for our leaders in Washington, on enforcing the immigration laws, none of these illegal-alien drug gangs would be operating here. Sure, there might be a different gang in their place but, you don't know that. The only fact is this: this gang is here now, selling illicit drugs, and murdering each other and who knows who else? If Bush-43, Clinton, Bush-41, Reagan, Carter, all the way back, had even pretended to care about this immigration problem, the Mexican drug gangs wouldn't feel the freedom to operate here today. And based on the article I read, disappointingly, the deputies who found and arrested the murders didn't shoot them on the spot. Now my tax dollars will go to provide for their defense and an interpreter because they don't speak a lick of English.

No, because our cops are wasting time chasing illegal alien crime, the domestic criminals have less to worry about too. If there were no illegal alien drug gangs, the cops could concentrate on arresting our own criminal gangs. Your argument is as stupid as Geraldo's argument about drunk driving crimes committed by illegal aliens not being an immigration problem but an alcohol abuse problem.

Good immigration news......for a change

Probably for a variety of reasons, and I'm sure to reader David's delight, the bleak immigration picture is starting to turn around......

DALLAS — Illegal immigrants are returning home to Mexico in numbers not seen for decades — and the Mexican government may have to deal with a crush on its social services and lower wages once the immigrants arrive.

"Those numbers have increased percentage-wise tremendously," said Enrique Hubbard, the Mexican consul general in Dallas. "In fact, it's almost 100 percent more this year than it was the previous two years."

The illegal immigrant population in the U.S. has dropped 11 percent since August of last year, according to the Center for Immigration Studies. Its research shows 1.3 million illegal immigrants have returned to their home countries.

"There's no question there's a variety of suggestions that people are in fact returning," said Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies. "Remittances, which is the money immigrants send home to Mexico, have gone down dramatically over the past year. Again, probably part the economy, but also part enforcement, leading to fewer people being here."

Mexican President Felipe Calderon plans to help returning nationals by providing food, medical care and temporary shelter if needed. But reports are already out in Mexico that the large number of illegal immigrants returning home could drive down wages and put pressure on social services — the same concerns many Americans have with illegals living and working in the U.S.

Unemployable vagrants, hostile gang-bangers, drains on social services, hundreds of thousands unassimilated and uneducated, depressed wages......welcome to America Felipe! I'd like to think it would force Mexico to reform their government and get rid of the stifling, rampant corruption but, when everybody in power including the police are totally corrupt, how do you instigate reform? The short answer is you don't. When our economy rebounds and we stop paying attention, like we always do, Mexico's poor will flood back across the unguarded border like they always have, with Calderon's assistance. And we'll ignore it like we always have, until it's too late to do anything about.

According to my title, this was supposed to be a good-news post but, I'm far too cynical to believe that it'll end up the way we'd like it to.

J.Mac and Obama....two peas in a pod

As if on cue from David's essay yesterday, McCain has been having late-night meetings with Hispanic leaders....

CHICAGO (AP) - Republican presidential John McCain assured Hispanic leaders he would push through Congress legislation to overhaul federal immigration laws if elected, several people who attended a private meeting with the candidate said Thursday.

Democrats questioned why the Arizona senator held the meeting late Wednesday night in Chicago. But supporters who were in the room denied that McCain held the closed-door session out of fear of offending conservatives, many of whom want him to take a harder line on immigration.

Both McCain and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama support giving legal status to millions of illegal immigrants, but neither has made the issue a centerpiece of the campaign. At one time, McCain's campaign suffered because of his stance on the issue.

As far as illegal immigration goes, both of the presidential candidates are equal unmitigated disasters. Neither has any, any plans to enforce the existing immigration, labor, or deportation laws, and both want to fast-track tens of millions of unassimilated, dependent Mexicans on the path toward citizenship. And what do 20million low income, hand-out mentality, disregard for the rule of law citizens spell? 20million new democrats, that's what.

Here's Johnny Mac glad-handing Hispanic voters who he's trying to seduce into voting for him by promising to grant them unfettered access to Americas tax coffers by making them legal citizens. Good grief!

More reader mail

Circumspect reader David wrote in with this to say about the border fence issue...

Ed, you may or may not agree on my zeal for border control but this is insanity. The Federal Government has to seek waivers to go around Federal regulations and laws. Am I crazy?

David understandably expressed a few other choice sentiments about his frustrations, but since this is a PG blog, I'll spare you.

No, you're not crazy, and I'm glad Bush is finally taking some action toward the matter of border control. What David's upset about is that the federal government has to navigate lots of onerous legal issues, both privacy and environmental, in each border state, in order to erect the fence. One might reasonably think that since the primary role of government is to among other things...establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, [and] provide for the common defence, it shouldn't need anybody's permission to build a border fence? Apparantly, one would be wrong.

Surely there's an easement like where all private land lies adjacent to state-owned land, like for power-line access, sewer and drain maintenance, service vehicle access, sidewalks, etc. And I thought that the land owners on the border were the first victims of looting, theft, and vandalism at the hands of illegals....you'd think they'd welcome the fence.

You can guess my attitude toward the nutty environmentalists who oppose the fence because it might affect the mating habits of wild cats....."Hey smelly hippie, go take another toke and stop impeding progress." The only part in which I agree with the land owners is that if there is no assumed easement, then the government should have to compensate the owners for the land they are taking, under the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment which states clearly that...Private property shall not be taken for a public use, without just compensation.. Other than that, there should be no obsticles to erecting the fence.

Good call on that David. We haven't talked about the fence much lately.

The article to which he is referring is found here.

Killing children Americans won't kill

I'm sure you heard about the driver who hit a bus filled with children in Minnesota the other day. Well, it turns out she was an illegal alien...

Authorities have confirmed that the the driver of the van that struck the school bus that killed 4 students on Tuesday is an illegal alien.
Officials at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement are checking to see where she came from and how long she’s been in Minnesota. FOX 9 has also learned that the name she gave to police, Alainiss Morales, is an alias.

Minneapolis is a sactuary city where police aren't allowed to inquire about immigration status, enforce immigration laws, or even wear vests that say "Police" on them for fear it might scare or otherwise intimidate the poor illegals.

As Jerry Rivers(Geraldo Rivera's real name) would say, "It's not an immigration problem, it's a driving problem." What an embicile! Any first year law student could tell you the assignment of guilt can be measured by this question: but for this persons actions, would the tragedy have otherwise happened? Clearly, the answer is no. If Minneapolis had not been a sanctuary city, it's likely that this person would not have been driving around in the first place.

Pro-amnesty loons like to point to cheap yard services and affordable berries and lettuce but this is the unmentioned cost of unchecked illegal immigration....dead loved ones.

Bush's global neighborhood

You're not going to believe this. The Bush administration wants to appropriate $1.4 billion of your tax dollars to stimulate the economy of, and strengthen southern border security for......wait for it........wait for it........MEXICO!!! It's called the Merida Initiative, and it plainly illustrates why Bush's approval numbers hover near single digits. Immigrants here, both legal and illegal, remit in the neighborhood of $20 billion USD anually to Mexico as it is. If that doesn't stimulate the Mexican economy, what would $1.4 billion do?

I know what you're thinking. "But Ed" you whine, "we either pay to help Mexico get on it's feet by improving it's economy and closing it's border with Central America, or we pay for it in the costs of illegal immigration to the US. It's one or the other."

Wrong you are! Bush should spend every cent on our border fence with Mexico and when our national sovereignty is intact, we'll worry about our neighbors' problems. Calderon actively encourages and enables his citizens to invade the US and to send US currency back. Raiding the US taxpayer coffers is Mexico's second largest industry after petroleum. With a smile, Bush gladly imports Mexico's poverty and dependence and they export our wealth. Unless you were learning to put condoms on cucumbers in government schools when you should have been in Civic Economics class, you'd know intuitively that importing poverty and exporting wealth is an unsustainable system.

Man, we cannot be rid of George Bush fast enough for me. My fear is that J.Mac won't be much of an improvement.

You find comedy in the unlikeliest places

This cracked me up when I read it....

A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to say Arizona's new employer sanctions law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state.

At a news conference, the legislators said Sonora - Arizona's southern neighbor, made up of mostly small towns - cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools it will face as illegal Mexican workers here return to their hometowns without jobs or money.

"How can they pass a law like this?" asked Mexican Rep. Leticia Amparano Gamez.

"Mexico is not prepared for this, for the tremendous problems" it will face as more and more Mexicans working in Arizona and sending money to their families return to hometowns in Sonora without jobs, she said.

Mexican legislators across the border whining indignantly about Mexicans without jobs or money flooding their towns.......That's gold Jerry, gold!

Reality TV becomes even more idiotic

I'll admit that I watch a few select reality-TV shows from time to time, but this won't be one of them...

There's a new reality TV show, produced by Morusa Media, called "Who wants to marry a U.S. citizen?" that aims at creating marriages between U.S. citizens and immigrants who havetemporary visas. The show is already generating mix reaction from some who saythe show hurts the immigration process. However, others praise the match-making concept.

"We're out to prove love knows no borders," says Adrian Martinez, creator of the show. "Besides, that's what America is all about -- a multi-cultural nation."

That's exactly the problem with America right now, we're a multicultural nation. We're devolving into a squabbling collection of tribes devoid of commonalities. And the new arrivals care nothing about becoming American. They just want to take advantage of the generous welfare benefits US tax-payers shower upon every degenerate who applies for them.

Back to the show....rather than the Dating Game format in which an American girl asks three anonymous illegals some banal questions and then decides which one she'll marry, I think it should be more of an earned right to become an American. There should be challenges like on other reality TV shows. Here are a few we came up with that we'd like to see:

1. The Rio Grande Swim challenge - contestants swim the swirling muddy waters of the Rio Grande cheered on by family on the Mexican side while border guards with pellet guns shoot at them from the other. The last one across is deported.

2. The Border Dash challenge - female contestants wear a 40 pound term-pregnancy suit with a built in gestation timer. She must reach a Brownsville Wal-Mart parking lot or local emergency room before the birth-timer goes off in order to avoid deportation.

3. The MS-13 Snitch challenge - contestants must rat out known members/hideouts in the U.S. of the murdering Hispanic gang MS-13. The contestant with the fewest successful ID's is deported, and all remaining contestants are placed in witness protection in Scottsdale.

4. The Border Garbage Collection challenge - contestants try to collect as much as they can, of the 90tons of garbage with which Hispanic illegals litter the southwestern desert each year as they sneak across the border. Recyclable material should be placed in proper bins to demonstrate good citizenship....just like any good American. The contestant with the least amount of garbage is deported....with his bag of garbage.

5. The Economic Re-investment challenge - contestants earn money at various jobs and the one who spends the most of it in the local economy rather than sending it back home to Mexico wins immunity. The contestant who demonstrates the poorest citizenship is deported.

These are just a few of the challenges that would make this show very compelling television.

Disclaimer: Clearly this is tongue-in-cheek and nobody should take offense. I'm merely pointing out the "challenges" of coming to America through humor and satire. I'm certain, however, that somebody will have gotten their feelings hurt or their sense of smug political correctness offended by the time they finish reading this post, so why don't you go ahead and tell me what a horrible xenophobic, racist I am in the comments thread. I can't wait.

Solution to many problems

During my week vacationing in the lovely state of Florida, I have finally come up with a solution to 3 major problems plaguing these United States. The problems are:
Illegal Immigration
Post Katrina rebuilding
Alligators killing Floridians
My solution is simple: Dig a ditch 10' deep and 30' wide along the border of Mexico. Take the dirt and dump it in the New Orleans area to create higher and stronger levies as well as to generally raise the level of the area. Fill the ditch with some water and relocate the alligators to the ditch. All 3 problems are solved. The illegals will stop streaming in because the alligators will eat them. The alligators are not being mistreated as they are being moved to an area witha bountiful food supply, and the laggards in the Big Sleezy can shut up as their beloved levies will now be at least 10-15' taller.I will now be moving on to another set of complex tasks and their solutions.

The Urine Test

I have finally found a way to satisfy and resolve some of our tax issues as well as help ease the burden of our illegal immigration issue. It is simple. The Urine Test.

All persons requesting free medical aid, government subsidies, food, and all other "handouts" should be required to pass a simple urine test. No drugs or diseases- your okay and get in line. You got issues, well then partner find another way to get free stuff . Immigrants show up w/o proper documentation, test them. If they can pass the test, get them their short term needs, but detain them until the proper credentials are filled out. Simple easy and cheap. Testing can be done on the spot without expensive labs and can save the government money.

I got this idea this week, as I dealt with a job in Montgomery with the State. All employees of the state are subjected to random urine testing and will have their paycheck withheld for failure to comply with the test, and I found that there are restrictions, including termination, if one doesn't pass. What a great system. expand it and start the unemployed on the road back to being non drug dependent, and toward finding a job. The state could hire many of these people in the newly expanded business of manufacturing urine testing cups and equipment.

I am always looking for new and improved ways to help the less fortunate.

Dereliction of duty in the Senate

The Senate just voted 64-35 to advance the disastrous and un-American shamnesty bill that would immediately upon Bush's signature, legalize 12-20 million illegal aliens. As soon as those millions of non-English speakers are legal citizens, a whole new wave of millions more will literally pour over the border, motivated by the promise of citizenship in the next amnesty bill. Democrats are delighted today, as this bill would create millions of new wards of the State, as most of these illegals would immediately qualify for, and would surely take advantage of, taxpayer-funded public assistance. That translates into millions of new democrat welfare voters. They may never lose another election.

This travesty of a sham of a mockery of a sham of a bill does absolutely nothing to address the wide open border across which those new millions will flood.

You think "Press 1 for English" is annoying? Wait until this shamnesty bill gets by. The U.S. will officially become a nation of tribes who have different cultures and languages. It will be Americans who have to adapt and conform to their ways rather than them to ours. And our Congress and Pres. Bush will have been responsible for ushering in the age of multi-culturalism that will destroy the national identity. If you don't contact your representatives and assure them of the electoral peril they face if they pass this awful bill, you will have been complicit in the ruin of America as we know it. Go to this website and place a call to your representatives if they voted yes on cloture today. Tell them how disappointed you are and that you will work against him in the next election if he votes for the shamnesty bill.

The verminous Harry Reid loathes all that is right and good about America.

Power to the People!!!

For once Congress actually responded to the people this week. The dreadful immigration bill that craven senate democrats, dastardly senate republicans, and hapless George Bush tried to sneak past the American people, crashed and burned faster than Paris Hilton's home-detention plans...and deservedly so. On first glance, the bill seemed to be palatable, but when you look at the details, it's heinousness became apparent. Here are the low-lights of the bill: the legalization of criminals and gang members, the welcome mat laid out for extended family members still in Mexico, unlimited welfare support, complete lack of enforcement guarantees, no border closure, no taxation of remittances to Mexico, no deportation of imprisoned criminal illegals, unenforcable touchback requirements, asinine 1-day background search, arrival date approved based on promisory note, the list of horribly bad provisions in this bill goes on and on. That Ted Kennedy was overjoyed at the prospect of it's passage was a dead give-away to it's awfulness.

Hopefully the defeat of this bill will do two things, 1: force Congress to craft a bill that actually accomplishes what the American people want in terms of border control, deportation of undesirables, etc., and 2: those democrats and republicans who voted for it get defeated in the next election cycle and replaced with people willing to do what's best for the U.S. rather than what's best for them and their parties.

Chuck Shumer, Harry Reid, and Dick "the turbin" Durbin lamenting the defeat of their scheme to create 60 million instant democratic voters.

Jobs Americans WILL do

You know how George Bush, Michael Chertoff, and various other intellectually bankrupt republicans and democrats always told us that illegal Mexicans are only doing the jobs that lazy, good-for-nothing Americans refuse to do? Well guess what? It turns out they were lying to us...

Swift & Company today reported its return to standard staffing levels at all four domestic beef processing facilities after the detention and removal, on December 12, 2006, of approximately 950 Swift Beef employees by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement ("ICE") division.

But wait, I thought there were no Americans to do these awful jobs. Bush told us that they were jobs Americans thought they were too good for.

Why, it's almost as if Bush was jerking the American people around on this illegal immigration thing wasn't it?

Here's a bunch of illegals being arrested from the Swift meat plant. Americans are happily filling those jobs now.

The Eurofication of America begins

OK, so there's a ton of chatter about whether this comprehensive immigration reform bill is "amnesty" or not. My thinking is that if Ted "make mine a double" Kennedy, George Bush and John McCain are for it, it must be amnesty. I've sort of become philosophical about this. Because we've ignored our border for so long and illegals are so intrenched, albeit at the edges, of our society, legalizing them at some point is inevitably going to happen. No politician has the guts for massive deportation so what's the alternative?

I see pros and cons with guest worker programs, border fencing, employment enforcement, deportation programs, I.D. cards, Z-visas, etc. The one issue I haven't seen adressed, but which is foremost in my mind, is voting rights for guest workers and legal resident aliens. Mexicans, like all poor minorities, vote overwhelmingly democrat. This is because the democrats are more than eager to seize money from those of us who earn it, having promised to give it to those who don't. If you were a poor alien, why wouldn't you vote for the politician who promises to take money from people you don't know and give it to you in return for your vote? Democrats have made an art-form out of getting the poor, uneducated, loafing classes to hate the achievers and producers in America. Thanks to democrat demagoguery, many poor people think they are owed some of what others have earned.

With that in mind, what I see looming in America's future is a permanent democrat majority powered by 6-12 million new welfare voters demanding taxpayer funded goody-bags. Goody-bags that craven, power-mad politicians will happily provide. In addition, look for the labor union rolls to sweel by that much too. Strong labor unions make absurd, crippling demands on industry, but of course industry has nobody to blame but themselves for employing illegals all these years in the first place. The problem is the rest of us will pay higher prices for goods and services as a result. The republican party will become indistinguishable from democrats and therefore irrelavant, and will toil in a deserved permanent minority status. (There is no one to blame for the demise of the modern republican party but George W. Bush.)

Bottom line: with the passage of this bill, America will begin it's devolution into what resembles a European country, where there will be a productive minority from whom liberal democrats will take wealth, and an underclass of unassimilated service and industry workers who will demand this wealth in return for votes. The border will remain mostly open across which uneducated, entitlement-minded laborers will stream in order to get the slice of pie Congress has told them is rightfully theirs for the taking. This country will cease to be an English-speaking country(it already has). All schools will become officially bi-lingual. Vast portions of the American southwest, as well as vast portions of most cities, will become Spanish-only barrios in which reside millions of unassimilated immigrants whose only contribution to America will be their democrat vote. Sure they'll work legally, but their miniscule tax burden will not come near to offsetting their demand for taxpayer-funded services.

If you haven't read Atlas Shrugged, I strongly suggest you do so. America is on a certain path to exactly what Ayn Rand depicted in that book.
