If the idea was to escape from jail, then you're doing it wrong....

CLIFTON, Tenn. -- The state Department of Correction said two inmates escaped a minimum security prison in southwest middle Tennessee on Nov. 7 to steal cigarettes before returning, WSMV-TV in Nashville reported.

Adam Garland and Michael Queener are accused of escaping through a window in their cell at the Turney Center Annex and crawling under a fence.

While out, the men stole cigarettes and tobacco products from a convenience store before returning to the prison by going back through the window that they had escaped from, officials at the corrections department said.

If having years potentially added to your relatively short sentences in a minimum-security jail is worth a pack of smokes, perhaps you should take up a different hobby than cigarettes.

Apparently there's a reason you've never heard of a single, famous Bolivian artist. It's because they can't draw.

This is a Bolivian police sketch artist's rendering based on a description given by a witness to a crime. Amazingly, the suspect was picked up a few days after this picture was circulated. The story is here but, it doesn't say whether the collar was because of the picture or a just a blind, dumb coincidence. The perp couldn't have been that hard to find regardless....I mean how many dudes are walking around without ears?

Adam Lambert's on the fast-track to obscurity

Talentless, reality-show creation Adam Lambert shocked the TV audience with homo-erotic performance then, stupidly accused complainers of discrimination....

During the closing act, the openly gay singer simulated sex on stage with a back-up dancer and kissed a male musician on the mouth.

Lambert told US network CNN that the kiss was "in the moment".

ABC said the number of complaints was "moderate". The show's producers have declined to comment.

Lambert, who performed his debut single For Your Entertainment, said that if people had been upset by his performance that it is a "form of discrimination and it's too bad".

It's a little soon in Lambert's "career" to be resorting to hyper-sexual performances and accusing critics of discrimination. If he has any talent, which he might, it gets washed away with the in-your-face homosexuality of the performances. Say what you want about the sexual hypocrisy of Americans but, TV audiences are just not ready for the mainstreaming of prime-time, gay smooching and simulated oral sex. When you're already, in your first major performance, resorting to shock-value to get people to notice you, and then cry discrimination when people don't like it, I doubt you'll be very long-lived in the music industry....thankfully for the rest of us.

In case you didn't realize it, the only musicians that don't hold their genitals on national TV are the country music stars. They aren't yet contributing to the debasement of polite society. Except for the country acts, last night's show was entirely unwatchable.

Bright Kids, which opened this spring in the financial district, has some 200 students receiving tutoring, most of them for the gifted exams, for up to $145 a session and 80 children on a waiting list for a weekend “boot camp” program.

How incompetent as a parent do you have to be to not have prepared your 4 year old for kindergarten such that, you must hire a tutor so your dumb kid can fake the aptitude required to earn a coveted spot at the right school. IT'S KINDERGARTEN, IDIOTS!

Norah O'Donnel attacks a little girl

Intrepid, NBC reporterette Norah O'Donnell, does a hard-hitting piece at a Sarah Palin book signing by ambushing a 17 year old student with "gotcha" questions....



Here's the girl's response later via Twitter, "But unlike Norah I didn't have my note cards with me. I was forced to think on the spot and answer a gotcha question. Her goal was clear, make this teenager look like an uneducated Palin supporting buffoon. To liberals, and the 5 people who watch MSNBC she succeeded. To conservatives, she was the only buffoon during that interview.

Norah O'Donnell ought to be ashamed of herself! Besides, just because Sarah Palin favored the Bush bailout, doesn't mean supporters can't still support her other, very conservative positions. Maybe the girl was voicing her displeasure at Palin's support of the Bush bailout. Disagreeing with a politician on one position doesn't make you hypocritical by remaining a supporter, as Norah suggested.

This is how utterly stupid believers in global warming have become. First they reflexively imagine the worst possible scenario regarding the human condition and then blame the possibility of it, no matter how remote, on global warming.....

Artur Davis wants to be governor of Alabama

Congressman Artur Davis(D) Alabama, wants to be our next governor. This might explain why he's abandoning Nancy Pelosi, other congressional democrats and, his own Congressional Black Caucus to vote against any health-care bill that includes a public option and higher taxes on the wealthy, as well as voting against stupid climate-change legislation. Alabama is very conservative and he would stand no chance of getting elected if he supported disasters like the current health-care bill and cap-and-trade.

Earlier this week, Jesse Jackson harshly criticized Davis for his lone black vote against health-care saying, "You can’t vote against health-care and call yourself a black man.” and in doing so injected race for the first time into the debate over health-care reform. What Jesse Jackson doesn't understand is that his criticism is probably the biggest endorsement he could have given Davis. I mean if the skeevy Jesse Jackson dislikes you, you can't be all bad.

[sic]Not much is happening with global warming at the moment. The Earth's average temperatures have stopped climbing since the beginning of the millennium, and it even looks as though global warming could come to a standstill this year.

Climatologists are puzzled because they're just now waking up from the Koolaid-induced slumber to the reality that man-made global-warming doesn't exist at all. The pixie dust that shysters like Al Gore sprinkled over their profession is wearing off and slowly they're realizing what rubes they've been played for. Al Gore got rich partially because gullible climatologists for the past 10 years were easily bamboozled into believing and regurgitating his ridiculous, climate-change hoax, while ignoring the data that stared them in the face.

Let's hope the politicians wake up from their stupor regarding global warming too before they saddle us with Cap-and-Trade some time next year.

I was born in Athens and am a life-long Bulldog fan so, it is with a heavy heart I report this sad news....

From Fox Sports -- Uga VII, the white English bulldog mascot for the University of Georgia's football team for almost two seasons, died Thursday of heart-related causes, the dog's owner said.

The 56-pound dog, nicknamed "Loran's Best," was known as a laid-back mascot who seemed oblivious to crowd noise during boisterous games and would sit patiently as excited fans snapped photos of him. He often roamed the sidelines in a shirt with a 'G' stitched on it, sometimes resting on a bag of ice to cool off in his customized dog house.

The school said there would be a no mascot at Saturday's game in Athens against Southeastern Conference rival Kentucky, but that a wreath will be laid on his doghouse on the field's sidelines. Sonny Seiler, the dog's owner, said he likely wouldn't name a replacement until next year.

"We are all in a state of shock," Seiler said in a news release issued by the university. "We had no warning whatsoever."

The Uga lineage is the most storied in all of sports. It's no wonder he/they are routinely voted the No.1 mascot in college football. Pure-bred English bulldogs have all kinds of heart problems but still, this one was relatively young....bummer. :(
