C17 Globemaster, surprise sighting


I just watched a USAF C17 Globemaster land in Birmingham. Not as big as the C5 Galaxy but damned impressive just the same.

    Great airplane! I regret it's the only common cargo plane or tanker from my time in the ANG I never got a ride on.

    I flew on one from Cyprus to Incirlik AB, Turkey in 2003. I rather enjoyed it.

    Web seats. But it was a nice ride. Much better than any C-130 or C-141 ride I've ever had.
