What is this?

All right, Dave sent me these pictures this morning. I'm sure they're floating all over the web. The caption says they were taken in Africa somewhere. Does anybody recognize this species? It's pretty good if it was photoshopped.

  1. Some dumb scientist will say its some prehistoric animal that has been hiding in the depths of the Congo River for millions of years, and finally came out of hiding for dinner.

  2. I would seriously soil myself if I found that on my line. It doesn't look photoshopped to me.

Perhaps it's the fresh-water Coelacanth, a cousin of the marine Coelacanth, thought to be extinct.

Just kidding. It looks like the result of the unholy mating between a striped bass and JAWS.

  4. I dont know ed that looks like it could easily be photoshopped. I'm pretty sure no bass looking thing would ever have teeth like that. I mean, if it was a predator that needed teeth like that it probably would be better designed for fast swimming and hydrodynamics. I mean, to me it looks like the head is definately a different color and pattern than the rest of the body.

  5. I actually have a new theory.

It's a mix of bass, chupacabra, and ManBearPig
