Stupid California liberals are poised to make their state the first with $15 minimum wage across the board.(Some suicidal cities have it, but no states currently do)
$15-MW is a win/win for liberals. Either they get to feel smug about "helping the poor" and receive lots of votes for it or, they enjoy the expanding welfare rolls as employers fire all but essential workers.......which also translates into democrat votes.
It's about votes, not helping the poor, always about votes.

Great news for automation manufacturers. For people who's labor may be worth less than $15/HR., not so much.
Lots of FF joints are considering automation already, just as a matter of course, the same way factories have already done. This is just going to push the FF automation revolution that much faster.
