Recruiting for the enemy

Next to former Atlanta Braves pitcher, John Rocker, I'm the most politically incorrect person I know, and even I know that this is wrong.....

A public school teacher in Chicago is in trouble and could lose her job after she mentioned the only Muslim student in her class in an anecdote about terrorists, according to local media.

The teacher allegedly used 13-year-old Saleh Choudhary as an example when she described a hypothetical homicide bombing, saying that he would carry explosives on board a plane and blow it up.

Apparently Saleh was subjected to relentless jeers from classmates for the rest of the day. Man, what a stupid teacher! Perversely, the teacher might actually have accomplished the very thing she was trying to prevent....the feelings of marginilization and ostracization that just might drive a resentful Muslim kid into the arms of radical Islamism. Great! Just what we need, more homegrown terrorists.

  1. The question here should be this. What if she had pointed out any other kid in class? Would she still be in big trouble? Would that kid have been jeered at the rest of the day?

  2. Could we have a pronounciation on that name Ed? I'm sure that kid gets jeered at more thanks to his name than any racial reasons.

  6. Don't sweat it bro. I enjoy blue humor as much as anybody. I was just busting your chops, that's all. We might be the only two people here who know what we're talking about.
