“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Socialist Party presidential candidate Norman Thomas

Shut up and brew!

If you are stupid enough, or rich enough, or both, to pay $7 for a cup of Joe at Starbucks, perhaps you've been treated to that company's aggressive attempt to indoctrinate you in the ways of radical liberalism...

An Ohio woman is steaming after reading an anti-God message published on the side of a Starbucks coffee cup.

The message that got Michelle Incanno's blood boiling reads:

"Why in moments of crisis do we ask God for strength and help? As cognitive beings, why would we ask something that may well be a figment of our imaginations for guidance? Why not search inside ourselves for the power to overcome? After all, we are strong enough to cause most of the catastrophes we need to endure."

As if cramming atheism down the throats of it's customers wasn't bad enough, they also aggressively advance the homosexual agenda...

"My only regret about being gay is that I repressed it for so long. I surrendered my youth to the people I feared when I could have been out there loving someone. Don't make that mistake yourself. Life's too damn short."

She looks annoyed that she paid $7 for a cup of atheism.

Hat tip World Net Daily.

Why can't they just be happy saturating the Earth with their stupid, over-priced product?
Sadly there are several Starbucks within a 3-wood of where I work. I will not be patronizing them anytime soon.

Out of pocket

Light posting the last couple of days...apologies.

You'll have to talk amongst yourselves...

I'll give you a topic...

Has France really turned the corner and away from the abyss of wholesale socialism, and will she become a friend to the U.S. once again?

Oh the hypocrisy!

Unless you've been living in the third-world, hell-hole known as Cuba, no doubt by now you've heard of John Edward's vilification of the rich by espousing his idiotic, class-warfare campaign of "Two America's", one super-rich and the other poor. (By soullessly pretending to channel the spirit of dead children in front of stupid North Carolina jurors, Edwards placed his family solidly in the super-rich slice of America).

Since his miserable failure as John Kerry's putative VP, and despite his phony personna as champion-of-the-poor, the Breck Girl has been enriching the already rich and himself, working for a Wall Street hedge fund. For the uninitiated, a hedge fund is the super-rich version of a mutual fund. Only the Bill Gates and John Edwards of the world get to play around with hedge funds. Ordinary Americans like me and you, not so much. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing with getting rich, that is unless you base your entire phoney public life on preaching how evil the rich are and how the poor deserve more of the rich's money.

Here's the Breck Girl, champion of the poor and hedge fund manager to the rich.

Bush's EEOC outrage

If you are still a fan of the Bush administration, then please tell me why he is suing the Salvation Army for asking it's employees to speak English....

EEOC sues Salvation Army over "English-only" policy

The federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has over the years been broadly hostile to employer policies requiring that employees speak English on the job, viewing such policies as improperly tending to screen out workers of protected national origin. Federal courts haven't always agreed with the agency's views on the question, however; in a 2003 case the Salvation Army, the venerable religious institution, was upheld in its right to fire a worker who'd refused to speak English when asked to do so by her boss. Now the EEOC has taken the Salvation Army back to court again, in a case where two clothes sorters at an Army facility in Framingham, Mass., outside Boston, lost their jobs after supervisors decided to start enforcing an existing speak-English policy.

The President, more than anybody else, should not be in the business of undermining the right of a business to hold the ability to speak, or the willingness to learn, English as a condition of employment. Add this outrage to Bush's failure to close the border or offer any meaningful immigration reform and you have a President who has abdicated his job.

For all you kooky, cool-aid-drinking liberals who are going to call me a xenophobe or a racist, this isn't about race or my not liking Mexicans. I love Mexico and Mexicans. I go there regularly for vacation where I throw around lots of American dollars. This about the law, about an unsustainable drain on the social services system, about the preservation of English as THE language of this country, about the preservation of the culture, about the U.S. being a refugee camp for a corrupt third-world country on our border, and about new citizens to our country embracing our culture, not them coming here and setting up micro versions of their country and demanding that we conform to their culture.

Hat tip PointofLaw.com by way of Michelle Malkin.

It's Ann Coulter Thursday

Here at TRR, we love Ann Coulter. She's one of the only conservatives who'll unapologetically put dumb liberals in their rightful place...i.e., in a position to be scorned and ridiculed. With that in mind, take a look at her latest column here.

Workin' for a livin'

Sorry about the light posting today, I'm in a training seminar most of the day. Check back later in the afternoon.

Hippie idolotry

In case you doubted whether the radical environmental movement is really just a mindless cult of green zealots who worship the Goreacle, well read this and then tell me it's not a religion...

Visitors to the Gaia Napa Valley Hotel and Spa won’t find the Gideon Bible in the nightstand drawer. Instead, on the bureau will be a copy of “An Inconvenient Truth,'’ former Vice President Al Gore’s book about global warming.

They’ll also find the Gaia equipped with waterless urinals, solar lighting and recycled paper as it marches toward becoming California’s first hotel certified as “green,'’ or benevolent to the environment. Similar features are found 35 miles south at San Francisco’s Orchard Garden Hotel, which competes for customers with neighboring luxury hotels like the Ritz-Carlton and Fairmont.

This is the paper-weight with which kooky NoCal hotel owners are replacing Gideon's Bible.

Katrina reality

Economic reality slaps business owners of New Orleans like a cold, 30lb mackerel upside the head...

Thousands of business owners in the flood zone have been stunned to learn, long after the storm, how soaring rates for commercial wind coverage translate into fine print on their insurance policies.

Stunned? Let me get this straight, you choose to live in a cereal bowl, below sea-level, between the ocean, a lake, and a swamp, from which even rain water has to be pumped, in hurricane alley, and you just got destroyed by the biggest hurricane ever, and you are stunned, stunned, to learn that your insurance rates have gone up? Let me guess, you want the government to step in and cover all future hurricane losses because of what a tragedy it would be for America to lose the city's architecture, culture, and humanity because they are uninsurable?

Sorry, as a taxpayer, I don't think the government should be in the business of guaranteeing private ventures, even if that private venture is an entire city. That's a free-market function. If the rates are too high, you have choices: go somewhere else to set up shop, risk not having hurricane insurance, set up a private-business collective through which the group secures lower rates. Nobody else in America is guaranteed low insurance rates for private property coverage by the taxpayers, why should the residents of NO expect to be?

Chavez seals Venezuela's fate

Thug dictator Hugo Chaves put the finishing touches on his country's plunge toward total economic and social collapse today by seizing Venezuela's last privately held oil company. In addition, he took control of all public utilities. You won't hear anything negative about it from the fawning socialists in the mainstream American media because they hold Chavez up as a populist man-of-the-people. He is their replacement hero for the ailing Fidel Castro. Unlike Cuba, Venezuela has vast off-shore oil reserves, the sales from which will buffer it against the loss of private entrepreneurism and capitalist innovation that will flee the country. Eventually however, the population will suffer much like the population of Cuba, despite the adoration from the approving sychophants in Hollywood and the democratic party.

The feminine candidate

You'd think that the Silky Pony, John Edwards, would be trying to establish his alpha-male, masculinity ever since it was revealed that he gets $400 haircuts every other week along with manicures and pedicures. (He's not exactly Navy SEAL material.) You may also remember the YouTube video of him getting daintily coiffed by a hairdresser...that clip alone disqualifies him for president in my book.

Now he's doing yoga with Russel Simmons, the Hip Hop mogul. If my nickname was the Breck Girl, I don't think I would be caught doing yoga. But I guess when you're a metrosexual candidate for the office of President and you lead a life of privilege and wealth, good grooming is second only to advocating a liberal socialist agenda for America when it comes to bamboozeling the American people into voting for you.
