It's graduation time again. Time to reflect on 4 years of hard work and preparation for life. Or if you got a philosophy degree, it's time for you to wonder where your life took such a wrong turn and time for your parents to prepare your bedroom for you to move back into.....

Purdue University alumnus Nick Enlow listed his 2008 diploma on eBay (EBAY) this week with a starting bid of $36,000. Enlow has said that his philosophy degree has not given him the means to earn enough income to cover his $470 per month obligations to Sallie Mae.

The dean of Purdue's College of Liberal Arts, Irwin Weiser, suggested these dubious uses for a liberal arts degree....

".....However, studying any of the disciplines in the arts, humanities, or social sciences prepares students to be successful because they learn to think creatively, critically and ethically, and to communicate what they think effectively.....and that'll come in handy making change for happy meals at McDonald's."

Ok, I made that last part up but he may as well have said it. We were all thinking it. Philosophy? What is a dumb 18year old kid thinking dropping 36large to major in Philosophy? Are there paying jobs where you sit at a desk and philosophize? Unless you major in something that rewards you with a marketable skill, you and your parents are better off with you going to a two year Tech. school.

RIP....Dennis Hopper

Dennis Hopper passed away yesterday from prostate cancer. He epitomized the 60's leading into the 70's, the drug culture, free spirit, all of it, and regardless of whether you think that's good or bad, the guy was a talented, iconic actor. My favorite films of his were of course Easy Rider, which he directed and starred in, and Apocalypse Now. Here's a short clip from that movie.....



Hopper wrung more out of every scene than any actor I know. Hollywood's a little shallower for having lost Dennis Hopper.

Since the start of the Eyjafjallajökull eruption, which caused cancellations of thousands of flights in Europe because of a giant ash cloud, there has been much speculation about neighboring Katla.

When Katla erupts and creates a much larger ash problem across Europe, I wonder if the world media will be more eager to report on it since they can pronounce it? Seriously, I don't know how Icelanders can say that word.

Charles Krauthammer hits another one out of the park

Charles Krauthammer, one of my favorite columnists and FoxNews contributor, has an excellent piece in Townhall about the BP oil spill and why we are drilling in mile-deep water to begin with.

He makes the obvious point that smelly environmentalists have pushed the domestic petroleum industry off the mainland for the most part, so that there's no choice but to drill in deep water, inviting a disaster like this one. The eco-warriors would rather protect the habitat of a stupid, microscopic tadpole than allow an oil company to provide petroleum for uses that keep the US industrially competitive and provide jobs for thousands.

Why not allow drilling in ANWR, which is a God-forsaken wasteland, and habitat to nothing but a few clueless caribou and giant, blood-sucking botflies? That way if there's any oil spillage, they grab a couple of locals with shovels and plug the leak in like 10 minutes.

As predicted, Obama is using this crisis to seize the US petroleum by the throat and throttle it. He's signed an executive order halting all off-shore drilling operations and, AND exploration, and is already using this one-time spill as reason to pass his absurd cap-and-trade scheme which will effectively finish off the US economy...the goal of this administration all along. Essentially with one stroke of his pen, he's stopped the domestic production of petroleum in it's tracks. The industry lay-offs will be massive. And after China drills for our oil just off our coastlines, they'll sell it back to us at ten times the price...laughing at our stupidity as they do it.

The Sestak conspiracy revealed

The white house will release a statement via the Friday news dump explaining, unconvincingly, how it was none other than Bill Clinton that offered Joe Sestak a lucrative administration job in exchange for not kicking the crap out of the world's biggest turd, Arlen Specter, in the Penn. primary. If it happened like that, then it's a felony crime and somebody should be going to jail.

The disgracefully obedient media are already preparing stories about how if Bill Clinton did it, then it's OK because he's not part of the administration. Never mind that that he did it at the behest of Rahm Emanuel, who would have done nothing without the approval of Obama. This makes me wonder what was promised to Clinton to get him to take the fall here. Was Hillary promised the erasure of her still outstanding campaign debt in the millions?

The democrats will circle the wagons here and no special, independent prosecutor will be empaneled but if the public outrage swells and the media finally awake from their Obama-pixie-dust induced slumber, an official investigation could be unavoidable.

According to the claim, Emma Gallardo was playing on the monkey bars the afternoon of March 8 at Bolsa View Park on Brighton Drive when she slipped and fell on the compacted sand.

Playing and getting hurt once in a while is part of growing up. How else are children supposed to learn how to asses risk if stupid, helicopter parents constantly protect them from every little thing? Over-protectiveness though, is a parental choice. I think they are idiots but, they have a right to be idiots. My problem is when they sue the city because they absurdly expect a no-fault life to be provided to them. They think that anything bad that happens is always somebody elses fault without ever considering the possibility that they might be negligent parents, bad things sometimes happen to good people, or that their dumb kid might simply be a screw-up at everything. Why should the city pay for the negligence of the parents or the monkey bar-incompetence of the kid?

Now, thanks to these morons, the city of Huntington will probably tear down all the playgrounds in the city to avoid other law suits from entitled parents. Thanks a lot, jack-asses!

Massachusetts is no longer a sanctuary state

In the wake of Arizona's kerfuffle over illegal immigration and other states pondering the enactment of stricter laws against aliens, Massachusetts quickly chose self preservation over it's status as a sanctuary state.....

From Moonbattery -- The Massachusetts Senate passed a far-reaching crackdown this afternoon on illegal immigrants and those who would hire them, going further, senators said, than any immigration bill proposed over the past five years.

The measure, which passed on a 28-10 vote as an amendment to the budget, would bar the state from doing business with any company found to break federal laws barring illegal immigrant hiring. It would also toughen penalties for creating or using fake identification documents, and explicitly deny in-state college tuition for illegal immigrants.

With other states forcing illegals to leave, Massachusetts realized many of them would gravitate toward the known sanctuary states, depressing wages, overwhelming their already overwhelmed social services, and bringing drug and gang trouble with them. That leaves only Maine, Oregon, and Alaska as the remaining sanctuary states but, about half the other states have large cities that are declared sanctuary cities.

I doubt taxpayers in these cities want their neighborhoods to become barrios overnight so expect to see a lot more of these laws passed......it's about time!

Obama only pretends to care about illegal immigration

Don't be fooled into thinking Obama's empty gesture of sending 1200 national guardsmen to the Mexican border is meaningful.....

US National Guard troops being sent to the Mexican border will be used to stem the flow of guns and drugs across the frontier and not to enforce US immigration laws, the State Department said Wednesday.

The clarification came after the Mexican government urged Washington not to use the additional troops to go after illegal immigrants.

This is patently absurd! Does he think the guns and drugs sneak across the border by themselves? What are the troops supposed to do, cater coffee and donuts to the border guards? Do office paper work?

This is a politically calculated scheme hatched no doubt, by Axelrod and Emanual to get Obama's poll numbers out of the basement on immigration. The guardsmen are forbidden from actually stopping any aliens from coming in because every one of them represents a guaranteed democrat vote once Obama grants them amnesty. He may put them on a path to citizenship that takes years but, they'll receive full voting rights immediately.

Arizona is just doing the job that the federal government should have been doing for the last 30 years. Obama's approval is in the low 40's so he needs something to get them back up. This ridiculous border stunt won't do it.

N.J. Gov. Christie gives teacher a lesson in basic economics

Apparently this teacher is one Rita Wilson who makes $86,000 a year. I find it hard to sympathize with people who make bargained-up union wages for 9 months of work and enjoy generous pensions and health-care benefits, then have the nerve to gripe about what an awful deal they're getting. Just shut-up already!

Gov. Christie is right....nobody forces you to work any job. That's what's great about America...if you don't like one job, take another you like better. Otherwise, sit down and shut up!

Obama is derelict in his duty as President

Instead of laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day, our embarrassment of a President will vacation with radical, sleazebag buddies back home in the most corrupt city in the world...Chicago. His utter contempt for the military and shameful lack of regard for what the idea of soldiering means to patriotic Americans wholly disqualifies him for the office he holds. It may have happened but I can't remember in my lifetime a President choosing to not visit Arlington on Memorial Day.

While men and women in uniform die under his command in Afghanistan and Iraq, he'll no doubt, be hacking around some golf course and yucking it up with fellow, America-hating leftists.

It matters not that he loathes the military and everything it stands for, his duty as President is to publicly demonstrate reverent support for the men and women who have served and currently serve. That he willfully eschews this sacred duty proves what a classless bum we knew he was all along.

If this was a Bush administration move, the media would already be calling for impeachment and democrats would have already scheduled hearings, a special prosecutor, and articles of impeachment would have been prepared already. But this is Obama. The media have a vested, personal interest in insulating him from any thuggery committed by his staff. Unless there is an undeniable smoking gun, the media will deep-six this story at the first opportunity. They can't have their personal lord and savior tarnished....he hasn't finished remaking the country into a socialist hell-hole, which is something they all fantasize about.

Obama thinks Americans will continue to toil tirelessly under his onerous authority regardless of how much of our earnings he takes away. At some point, however, there won't be anymore earnings because everybody will be on the government dole. Then where will the wealth come from?

Obama golfs while the nation crumbles

You'd think that the Commander in Chief would have something more important to do than yuck it up with his buddies at the new golf course at Andrews AFB and give interviews to Marv Albert about LeBron and the NBA. Millions of gallons of oil are soiling the beaches and wetlands of Louisiana and other Gulf states with no end to the leak in sight, South and North Korea are on the brink of a shooting war which into which we'll likely be dragged, Crazytown(Iran) is about to have nukes, our economy continues to teeter while Europe's economy is about to be in full collapse. Meanwhile we're waging expensive and mostly pointless wars simultaneously in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The detachment from reality and the ignorance of the responsibilities of his office by Obama are mind-boggling. If the US survives the next two years under The One, I'll be shocked and amazed.

Is it me, or does this have a distinct OJ feel to it? I mean besides the blood, partially decapitated bodies, and car chases? OJ had to sell his sports awards as the only things of value just as Fergie is selling her only thing of value, access to a member of the royal family. Sad really. Fergie failing to measure up to the precedent set by Diana is like Wynona Judd not measuring up to the success of Ashley.

I've never been a big fan of the British royals. It seems like a huge economic drain for very little national return but, people are obsessed with them and their zany antics so who am I to criticize? Still, you'd think that one would be able to parlay being the Dutchess of York into some sort of living after a divorce.

UPDATE: Did you know that Fergie's divorce settlement from Andrew awarded in her receiving only $22,000 a year? If the royal family doesn't want to be embarrassed like this, I suggest they support her in some reasonable manner....after all, she is rearing Andrew's daughters who are royal themselves. Now, I sort of don't blame her for playing whatever card she has. I had no idea she had been treated so shabily by them.

A caravan of buses loaded with 500 SEIU rent-a-thugs took a field trip to Maryland to protest outside the private residence of an attorney for Bank of America. Little did the rabble-rousing goons know, the only person home to intimidate was the man's teenage son....who was scared to death.

Since when is it lawful to camp out on a private citizen's lawn? And why did the DC police department escort the buses out to Maryland? I putting my money on union solidarity.

If it was my house, I'd turn on the sprinklers and squirt the lawn down with the hose. I mean how else to rid your property of riff-raff? And if that didn't work, a couple of well-placed M-80's would probably do the trick.

Remember, nobody has visited President Obama more than SEIU representatives. Now that ACORN is rightfully out of business, SEIU is Obama's number-one organization. I'm sure Barry had little if anything to say about his MOB of thugs terrorizing a teenager in his own home.

When the going gets tough, democrats pretend to be populists

Tom Harkin and Ben Nelson are whining again about silly ATM transaction fees....fees that are entirely voluntary. With democrats in serious disfavor with voters, they are pulling out all the tired, populists issues to try to be appealing again.

Nobody forces you to use ATM's. If you are such a skinflint and you resent a $2 transaction fee for the convenience of using an ATM, then spend the $4 in gas it takes to drive your cheap ass to your bank and stand in line behind the 9 year old opening her first savings account, the 85 year old who needs the teller's help balancing his check book, and the fat guy with his name on his shirt and a pickle jar full of pennies.

Is a voluntary fee of $2 too much to ask for providing the convenience of not having to go to the bank in person? Who with better than a 6th-grade education thinks that the installation and maintenance of ATM's doesn't cost the bank anything? With the trillions in fraud, waste, and abuse associated with government spending of your tax money on TARP, bailouts, stimulus, etc., who gives a crap about ATM fees?

This is disgusting in the extreme! Watch reprehensible democrats give Mexican President Felipe Calderone a standing-O after he bashes Arizona for adopting policies that are less, that's right LESS, harsh than the federal anti illegal immigration laws....



Clearly democrats are more concerned with maintaining the possibility of what they think represents 12-20 million democrat voters if they can grant them amnesty, above securing the border and relieving the problems created by illegal aliens...i.e., indigence, high crime, depressed wages, unemployment, decreased property values, and cultural disharmony.

I never thought I'd see the day when elected American officials would allow, much less cheer, as a foreign head of state stood in Congress and insulted this country. Absolutely unbelievable! All officials who stood and clapped are traitorous vermin, unworthy of citizenship themselves and even less worthy of holding elected office. Their names should be named and voters should boot the bums out of office...post haste!

Olympic mascots are designed to represent nothing

This is all the organizers of the London Olympics could come up with for a mascot. Of course when the PC police are examining every aspect of your design for evidence of sexism, racism, stereotyping, etc, it's hard to come with anything that is both marketable to children, yet doesn't make adults turn away in disgust at the stupidity. Why do the Olympics have to have a mascot anyway? I can honestly say that I've never seen a child holding an Olympic mascot doll or action figure. To whom are they marketing these stupid mascots? They seem to have nothing to do with sports or athletics in any way. The only apparent purpose is to move merchandise. Otherwise I don't get it.

Everybody Draw Mohammed Day

EDMD isn't about intolerance and insulting Islam, though liberals will accuse us of just that. It's about not cowering in the face of violent threats to our rights of free political speech. Some may argue that peaceful, moderate Muslims in the US may be offended by this but, I would submit that moderate Muslims must surely understand that free speech is the cornerstone of a free republic and it is harmful only in how you react to it yourself. It's the sticks-and-stones argument. If they value the United States and our design of individual freedoms, they should celebrate free speech as we all do. I would never have thought to draw an image of the prophet Mohammed until people were killed and we were threatened for daring to display an image of ProMo. Unlike Comedy Central and our current administration in Washington, I will not be intimidated into giving up my constitutionally protected rights of free political speech. I may be offending people but, I'm not hurting anybody or limiting their pursuit of happiness in any way.

Remember, freedoms that aren't exercised and regularly defended can more easily be taken away.

Corrupt republicans are dragging the party down

From Michelle Malkin's site, she's got a post regarding 8-term, republican sleaze-bag Mark Souder. He got busted having an affair with a staffer and here are his hedges, I mean remarks, about stepping down....

Souder, a Republican, will will step down on Friday. He said in remarks obtained by Fox News that he “sinned against God, my wife and my family by having a mutual relationship with a part-time member of my staff.”

“I wish I could have been a better example,” he was to say. “In this poisonous environment of Washington, D.C., any personal failing is seized upon, often twisted, for political gain.

Michelle pointed out how these guys always invoke God for some reason as they blubber unconvincingly about how sorry they are. She's right, that is irritating. Then he goes on to blame the "poisonous environment of Washington" and whine about how his philandering would be "seized upon and twisted for political gain". By whom, Rep. Souder? All you had to do is keep your pants zipped and nobody could twist anything for political gain.

8 terms in Congress is enough already. All these corrupt republicans are doing is giving the liberal media a salacious, prurient story with which to entertain their readers/viewers and harm other republicans by association, rather than report on how Obama's policies have been rejected by voters at every electoral opportunity since his installation into the Presidency by them(feckless, lap-dog media).

The winds of change are a blowin'

They were only primaries, but voters in several states yesterday sent a strong message to Washington..."Follow the letter of the Constitution or we'll fire you." The lap-dog media is already stretching distance between Obama and these outcomes by spinning them as anti-incumbent sentiment because of the economy, frustration with specific issues like jobs, or discounting them entirely as irate voters collectively pitching a hissy fit. Make no mistake, this was anti-Obama through and through...as it will be in November.

That libertarian Rand Paul won in Kentucky resonated with vulnerable candidates across the country who now realize that voters are serious about the constitutional role of government, serious about retaining their liberties, and most importantly, serious about what the government should NOT be doing. Yesterday was a repudiation of TARP, the stimulus bill, car company takeovers, banking takeovers, insurance bailouts, Wall Street coziness, Obamacare, border indifference, etc.

Watch in your state for conservative candidates(and maybe even some democrats in red states) to start echoing libertarian-sounding speeches about limited government, balanced-budget bills, across-the-board tax cuts, and dramatic reductions in wasteful government spending. Politicians are nothing if not self-preservationists and they'll say anything to get re-elected but, thankfully, as we witnessed last night and hopefully again in the generals, we still have an electoral system in place through which we can hold them accountable for their campaign speeches and actions.

Pot, meet Kettle

The deranged simpletons who run California should probably check their state's penal codes before boycotting Arizona for their new law regarding illegal immigration. In part, California's law states that law enforcement officials should use a status verification process if that official has reason to question the immigration status of a person with whom they are interacting......

The verification process may include, but shall not be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status.

So the cops demanding to see someone's papers is common among states which have comprehensive immigration laws. I guess California officials should be calling for a boycott of California since the two states' laws read almost exactly the same. I wonder when the media will get around to asking Gov. Schwarzenegger, Eric Holder, Janet Napolitano, or Obama why they don't castigate California for having virtually identical immigration enforcement mandates as Arizona?

I'll wonder, but I won't hold my breath waiting for the media to ask a democrat a tough question.

Bear pays for man's stupidity

GATLINBURG - A black bear bit a man on the foot this week in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park when the man got too close trying to take a photo, authorities said.

The man, whose name wasn't immediately available, let the bear get within inches of him Wednesday while hiking the Laurel Falls Trail, park spokeswoman Nancy Gray said. He didn't need treatment.

I generally agree with that when the animal comes into neighborhoods and slaughters pets and attacks people but, why should this bear be killed when an idiot tourist goes up into the woods and intentionally gets too close to get a stupid picture?

They should let the bear go with a warning and shoot the tourist for being a moron.

The Obama administration has utterly abandoned the laughably pathetic Arlen Specter in anticipation of his much-deserved primary defeat to challenger Joe Sestak. Obama isn't making any last-minute campaign speeches and even though Joe Biden is speaking at his daughters graduation in Pennsylvania, he won't be doing anything on Specter's behalf.

Electorally, Obama has ridden every candidate he's endorsed to a resounding defeat and he doesn't want to be associated in any way with what we hope is a fitting, inglorious end to Specter's checkered political career. I know of no astute political observers who didn't see this coming the day Specter decided to switch parties in desperation to save his career. As much as it is a service to the nation to have craven carrerists like Arlen Specter out of the congress.....it's more valuable as entertainment to watch him crash and burn because of his naked ambition and fecklessness.

Obama's bailout fever extends across the pond

Just 10 days after the attempted car-bombing of Times Square which failed only because of the bomber's astonishing incompetence, President Obama announced that he was slashing security funding for New York City. That's weird enough seeing that NYC is 75% of the terrorists' targets but receives only about 10% of the anti-terrorism funding but then, he announced that we would be contributing $56billion of taxpayer money to Greece.

Greece is a bellwether for all of Europe and their nanny-State style of governance. They should be allowed to fail, even if it means dragging Spain, Portugal, and maybe Italy down with them. The rest of the European Union will surely learn a lesson from Greece's collapse. Besides, Greece only makes up about 2% of the European economy and a fraction of 1% of the world's economy. The world can certainly do without Greece's economy while they straighten themselves out.

Obama abandoning NYC in favor of bailing out Greece demonstrates a terrifying loyalty to "the world" over his sworn loyalty to the US. Moreover, does he not see that our debt/GDP ratio is approaching the same dangerous level that is causing the Greek collapse? The terrible thing is, I don't think he cares. He intends to establish a European-style, socialist, welfare state in the US come hell or high water and nothing is going to get in his way.

I'd rather a soldier err on the side of preserving his own life and then apologize for collateral damage than hesitate and get killed himself.

Define a crisis, in this case childhood obesity, then threaten to take over control if companies don't voluntarily police themselves, knowing that regardless of what measures the companies take, it won't be enough.

Fred Phelps and his rag-tag band of inbred haters at the Westboro Baptist Church are supposed to come to Birmingham today to demonstrate at the funeral of fallen soldier, Thomas Rivers Jr.

The funeral procession is fairly long from the church to the cemetery and nobody knows where they'll be setting up shop along the route. If I could get off work, I'd head down there and throw rotten eggs at them.

Chalk another one up for terrorist-punching SEALs

Navy SEAL Matthew McCabe was found not guilty yesterday of punching a terrorist who was in their custody. A sniveling squid(slang for sailors) accused McCabe and two other SEAL's of punching the known terrorist in the mouth and stomach.

I spent a little time in the military and "rats" aren't exactly the most popular guys around. I imagine the guy who accused them will receive a few well-deserved punches in the mouth himself...he deserves it.

The natural disaster that got overlooked

The century flood that made a disaster area out of Nashville has an estimated damage cost of over a billion dollars and killed 19 people so far, yet had scant little coverage from the main stream media. Why is that?

I hate to be the one to point it out but, maybe it's because there are no minorities standing on top of their rental houses whining about the government response. Maybe it's because Tennesseans are taking care of each other and themselves and don't want the government swooping in the "help". Maybe it's because Nashville isn't full of indigent, welfare sponges that fit the media's narrative of "poor-people-get-unfairly-victimized-by-weather" on which they are so fond of reporting.

When self-sufficient, responsible Americans are struck by tragedy, it's not story to the media. Plus, if they made too much of a big deal about it, they might find themselves having to blame Obama the way they blamed Bush for Katrina....and they don't dare question The One.

Obama casually use the term "tea-baggers" as if he doesn't know what it means

When will the lawsuits begin? I can already see the beginning of the line of lawyers lining up to resolve this "Gross and negligent use of force"! I assume that the picture shown here is depicting the soon-to-be new owner of the Phillies and a soon-to-be homeless man (the police officer).

What a gross miscarriage of justice this will be! Inevitable, but still way out of whack!

Now lets look at the situation. I will throw in a few comments here and there.

The teenager, using poor judgement, leaps the wall and parades around the outfield disrupting the ball game. Bad choice on his part, and he deserves the trespassing charge and the disorderly conduct charge. However I am not sure that the use of the taser was warranted. After watching the video a number of times it is apparent that none of the athletes were in danger from this boy. He was on the field less than 1 minute before the shot. He had eluded the security folks, but it appeared they were closing in. It did make for great video footage as he nose dived to a stop in the outfield grass. I wonder if this boy could have been detained in a short time frame without him being tased?

My next issue revolves around the use of Philadelphia police on the field. Why are they there. Shouldn't they be doing regular/normal police work at the stadium, leaving the game surface to hired security and stadium personnel? I attend many college and professional sporting events and have recently noticed the plethora of safety yellow clad security folks throughout the various venues. Where were these folks when this happened? I know that the police chief is questioning this use of his people and should the equipment have been used. I am with him in his questioning.

I also read today where a man was back on the field last night and was detained and booked without being tased. Where is the fairness there? What did the teenager do that the man didn't? I am just asking.....

These 2 folks are wrong and should be punished. They should go to jail. However I do not feel it is fair to the taxpayers for this kid to make the cash he will undoubtedly make from the soon to be filed frivolous lawsuit(s). I assume he will sue the police for excessive force (see the man the next night); he will sue the Phillies for not properly restraining him and will sue the individual police office for some ludicrous charge like racism or something. Oh well here we go!!

This is a sad commentary on the self-serving litigiousness of American society, by a the CEO Hayward of BP regarding the certain flood of scam law-suits that are sure to be filed along with legitimate ones...

Mr Hayward reiterated a promise that BP “will honour all legitimate claims for business interruption”. Asked for examples of illegitimate claims, he said: “I could give you lots of examples. This is America — come on. We’re going to have lots of illegitimate claims. We all know that.”

Politicians, and especially democrat politicians, have been bought lock, stock, and barrel by the trial lawyers associations. That's why much needed tort reform is a distant dream for the US. Smarmy trial lawyers have been circling for years waiting for a chance to get their slimy hands on some big-oil money, just as they did with big-tobacco and currently do with big-pharma. But who really pays for these legalized thefts....the consumer. Sure, BP has some paying to do and I support legitimate them paying for legitimate losses but, there will be thousands of illegitimate attempts by lying citizens and lying attorneys to get a piece of the pie.

A loser pays system would solve much of this problem. As it is, there's no reason not to sue, I mean other than shame and dishonesty, because a loss costs the plaintiff nothing.

"The second insurgent grabbed the weapon and turned as my second shot hit him in the side. He went down, too," Harrison told the Sunday Times of London.

Obama fiddles while border violence escalates

The deputy was found with a superficial wound - a chunk of skin torn from just above his left kidney - after being shot with an AK-47 on Friday afternoon, Pinal County sheriff's Lt. Tamatha Villar said. He was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Casa Grande, about 40 miles south of Phoenix.

Villar said the deputy was doing smuggling interdiction work and found bales of marijuana in the desert. He then encountered five suspected illegal immigrants, two armed with rifles, and was shot.

If ranchers on the border getting murdered by aliens isn't enough, then perhaps illegals smuggling drugs with a willingness to shoot border agents with automatic rifles signifies an immigration emergency. What is it going to take to get the feds to take some action?

I'll answer my own question: it's going to take throwing the democrats out and replacing them with republicans who have the guts to close the border once and for all and for the individual states to pass laws like Arizona's, to force the illegals to self-deport. The democrats will never do anything to stem the tide of aliens because they want them to end up as 20-30million democrat voters at some point. Obama doesn't give a damn about murdered ranchers and police officers when a permanent democrat majority lording over a vast welfare state is within reach.
