“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Socialist Party presidential candidate Norman Thomas

Michele Bachmann calls a spade a spade

Some beltway conservatives are questioning Michele Bachmann's ad in which she throws George W. Bush under the bus for his awful TARP bill....

In a new ad out Wednesday, Bachmann distances herself from Bush and lumps him in with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Barack Obama.

“That’s why fought and I voted against the Bush Wall Street bailout, the failed Pelosi trillion-dollar stimulus and Obama’s government takeover of healthcare,” she says in the ad.

Good for her! Bush needed to be thrown under the bus for that disastrous, unconstitutional crap-sandwich. $750billion worth of taxpayer dollars got directed to investment bankers for making what they knew at the time were bad decisions but has assurances from members of congress that they were too big and important to the American economy to be allowed to fail. Remember, it was TARP that started the whole tea-party movement and TARP was George Bush's idea. It stunk then and it still stinks today.

Democrats losing the youth vote

Democrats are clinging to the only two reliable voting blocks they have left to help them retain majorities in both houses of congress, minorities and dumb kids.

We know that minorities reflexively vote democrat because the democrats have convinced them that they don't have the skills, determination, or opportunities to succeed in our racist, white-dominated society without help from them. The youth vote can be explained as simply as stupidity. Kids aren't paying attention except to shows like John Stewart's where they are told what to think and how to vote if they want to be cool. Which makes it clear why the democrats are in a blind panic as polls show them losing even dumb kids as potential voters. The only conclusion I can draw from this is that kids are actually beginning to pay attention enough that even they can see what's going on and how bad for them personally and America in general, the democrat agenda really is. It's about time.

Cookies or cupcakes?

Some dumb, gay students at Purdue got their feelings hurt because a bakery called Just Cookies refused to make them cupcakes.....idiots!

From FoxNation -- An Indianapolis bakery is facing a government investigation over allegations it refused to make rainbow-themed cupcakes for a gay student group.

Members of a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender group at Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis told WISH-TV that Just Cookies denied their request. The cupcakes were to be part of a celebration planned for next month’s National Coming Out Day.

But David Stockton, the owner of Just Cookies, said there was a problem — they don’t make cupcakes. However, there was also another issue.

“We are a family business,” owner David Stockton told WISH-TV. “I have some reservations about whether it should be celebrated. That is where I stand.”

I suspect there was an ulterior motive here on the part of the student org. to get some attention. That said, besides the fact that Just Cookies doesn't even make cupcakes, it's a private business and as such can refuse service to anybody it chooses. Of course it must also accept the market consequences of refusing service to a particular group, but that's how the free market works.

Personally, I think it's a stupid call to refuse to serve gays(gay money being just as green as breeder money) but the owners have a Constitutional right to do just that, without the federal government investigating them for hate crimes.

The real crime here is that supposedly intelligent Purdue students went to a bakery named Just Cookies and demanded cupcakes.....heh heh.

The best of Chris Christie

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is setting the conservative side of America on fire with excitement while infuriating the left, much to my delight. Here are some of his best sound bites. [Skip ahead to the 2:00 mark]

This guy has a big future in American politics. He's plain spoken....no high-brow, lofty, political rhetoric. He makes perfect sense and doesn't take BS from people. If he accomplishes what he intends to accomplish in New Jersey, he may have a shot at higher political office if he wants it. There are a lot of conservatives who'd vote for him today for President....including maybe me.

Zero-G beer.....giggity!

Now here's some research worth doing...

World's first beer to be certified for space consumption will undergo tests in weightlessness to confirm its drinkability.

What's that you say? Why waste money on something so frivolous when people are starving around the world?
Because, when the private-enterprise people get their space tourism businesses off the ground, you can't expect tourists to plop down hundreds of thousands to fly around at zero-Gs and not offer them a refreshing adult beverage to enjoy while they do it, now can you?

Gov. Paterson signs a bill...hilarity ensues

Watch N.Y. Gov. Paterson sign the Stop-and-Frisk bill into law yesterday. If you don't have 30 seconds to spare, click on over to the 29sec mark for the hilarity.

I know I know, I shouldn't make fun of the blind, but come on! You'd think one if his seeing-eyed handlers would discreetly place his hand on the dotted line for the signing rather than have everybody watch as he searched for it. Additionally, he's got to be like 50 years old. Is it possible that the one eye that barely works is near sighted such that he can resolve a dotted line from like an inch away or does he just want to appear to be looking at the document when he scribbles on it?

Rumors of Christine O'Donnell's political demise were exaggerated

Scott Rasmussen has Christine O'Donnell within 9% points of Obama-lapdog Chris Coons. O'Donnell is at 40% with likely voters and Coons is at 49% which is huge because it puts him below the magical 50% mark and shows he's no cinch. In fact, it looks like the possible, idiotic write-in campaign by defeated incumbent Mike Castle might siphon votes away from Coons rather than O'Donnell as was assumed by the clueless media. There were 15 points separating them a week ago when Rove and Krauthammer gave her no chance at all. I'm not predicting a win and it's still a long uphill climb but, Coons is by no means a certain winner any more.

The problem with US schools in a nutshell

FoxNews is horrified that some schools are denying your precious snowflake's right to a lollipop as an academic performance bribe....

From FoxNews -- Schools have cut out junk food and sweets from their vending machines, cafeterias and birthday parties. One Franklin County district's leader is taking it a step further.

Bexley Superintendent Michael Johnson recently told staff members to consider an alternative to candy when rewarding or motivating students.

"It's common enough that I've been hearing complaints about it, kids coming home with three or four lollipops in their mouths at the same time," he said.

I'm sorry, but if your fat, dumb kid can't add 4 to 3 without being given candy as an incentive, then perhaps you aren't the terrific parent you think you are. This is why the US ranks near the bottom in every academic category. Mollycoddling and self-esteem stroking.

There's no place in school for birthday parties, lollipops, or cupcakes. School is for competitive learning where failing grades result in failure and self-esteem is earned not awarded.

Proven torture at Club Gitmo

As democrats have long warned us, unspeakable acts of torture by marines at the Guantanamo Bay facility continue. Intrepid reporterette Carol Rosenberg is reporting that terrorist detainees can only have one ice-cream dessert per meal.....the horror! THE HORROR!

Detainees’ diets at Guantanamo Bay have been a controversial issue for some time and now the U.S. prison is said to be rationing ice cream.

The frozen dessert is allegedly being tightly measured, with only one ice cream allowed for each of its 147 detainees.

Journalist for The Miami Herald, Carol Rosenberg, photographed a refrigerator at Guantanamo, with two signs reading ‘DETAINEE FOOD ONLY’ and ‘Only 1 Ice Cream For each detainee!’

Here's PresBO unmercifully taunting the detainees with what appears to be a delicious scoop of Caramel Cream with nuts. There'll be hell to pay if Michelle gets wind of her hubby eating food that's not on her approved list for healthy choice dining.

Into the abyss

If troubled, celebrity nitwit Lindsay Lohan isn't already at the top of your celebrity deadpool, she should be. Unverified pictures have surfaced of her at a party with Paris Hilton in 2007 which show her mainlining heroin. She was 21 at the time.

Good grief, how miserably awful are her parents? I nominate Michael and Dina Lohan as worst celebrity parents of all time. We've been making jokes at her expense for at least 10 years, but she's only 24 years old....I'd have sworn she was 34.

The only problem with putting LiLo at the top of your deadpool is that the more expected their demise, the less points you score when they finally manage to kill themselves. Now, John Ritter's untimely death scored a lot of points for anybody who had him in their top 25....nobody saw that coming....just sayin'.

Ahmadinnerjacket comes to town

Our favorite ruthless dictator, Mahmoud Ahmadinnerjacket, the laughable, Gilligan-like president of Iran, was in New York yesterday at the despicable UN to spit in Obama's eye....

From FoxNews -- He was greeted by applause when he walked into the United Nations General Assembly, and applauded again, even after questioning 9/11 and claiming that the American government may have been behind the attack.

That’s right, applauded after questioning the motivation for the terrorist attacks, who was responsible for them, and essentially suggesting they were a U.S. plot.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has made a variety of claims over the years during his appearances here, but he never has gone this far when talking about 9/11.

During his General Assembly address, the Iranian President called for a “U.N. fact finding group” to investigate 9/11.

He also said that ”the majority of the American people as well as most nations and politicians around the world” believe that “some segments within the U.S. government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining of the American economy and its grips on the Middle East in order to save the Zionist regime.”

When the entire body of the United Nations applauds as our worst enemy comes to our country and spits in our faces, how can we justify continuing to underwrite this collection of America-hating despots and shiftless thugs? If anybody reading this can give me one reason to continue to host(and by host, I mean pay for at taxpayer expense) the worst organization in the world including the KKK, right here in New York. It is reprehensible to me that the most corrupt collection of self-serving dictators and criminals enjoys diplomatic immunity and is welcomed with open arms by our government.

That Obama had little to say in reply other than a school-marm lecture about peace, tolerance, and shared prosperity shows what an awful Marxist President he really is and how little regard he has for his office or the people he pretends to lead.....the American people.

Coming to America?

While the rest of the world struggles with raising the retirement ages to account for exploding numbers of retirees, increasing life expectancy, and fewer workers to support the retired, lazy, good-for-nothing Frenchmen are striking because Sarkozy want to raise their retirement age by two lousy years.....

From Yahoo -- PARIS – French authorities estimated nearly 1 million protesters filled the streets Thursday to try to force President Nicolas Sarkozy to drop his plan to raise the retirement age two years to 62, while strikes also disrupted airports, train stations and schools for the second time this month.

The protest movement has been a big test for Sarkozy, who, like other European leaders, has struggled to convince his country of the need for cost-cutting and scaling back generous social benefits after the Greek debt crisis scared markets and sapped confidence in the entire 16-nation euro currency.

I swear, if there is a lazier or more entitlement-minded population than those in France, I don't know what it is. The unions in America remind me of these French deadbeats. Our union workers expect guaranteed jobs at absurdly high wages with lavish health and retirement benefits at a low retirement age. As Obama does everything in his power to increase the union membership roles, how long before they have enough political power to dictate retirement and social security policy in the US?

'Twas the night before elections

Regular reader Billy sent this in. Feel free to pass it on.....

'Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.

When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!

' On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi'
He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

Chris Matthews is starting to get it

When Obama loses Chris Matthews, who famously bragged that it was his job as a journalist to make the Obama presidency successful, you know the curtain has been pulled back the wizard exposed for the inept farce that he is.

Wow, a liberal who admits that our paychecks don't belong first to the government.

Hat tip to Moonbattery.

The gals over at N.O.W. take the fun out of everything

So KFC is hiring hottie college girls to wear sweats with the phrase "Double Down" on the rear to advertise their new bunless sandwich and from the looks of it, business is hopping....

From USAToday -- The nation's largest women's group doesn't like it one bit. "It's so obnoxious to once again be using women's bodies to sell fundamentally unhealthy products," says Terry O'Neill, president of the National Organization for Women. What's more, she says, KFC has forgotten something important: Women make more than half the decisions about what to eat for dinner.

The harpies over at N.O.W. will have to settle down. This is a simple employment contract into which these ladies freely entered. It's no body's business as long as they aren't breaking any laws, being exploited, or otherwise abused. It's still a mostly free country and last time I checked we still have a few freedoms left to enjoy. One of which is to wear a sign on our rumps if somebody pays us to.

Like Rush points out, gals over at N.O.W. are just resentful that they aren't pretty enough for KFC to pay to use their backsides for advertising.

GOP leadership have learned nothing apparently

Later today the GOP leadership will offer it's plans for legislation to get the country moving in the right direction.....

From Yahoo -- WASHINGTON – Republicans are putting their leading midterm congressional campaign arguments into a new manifesto designed to show they're listening to an angry public and are focused on creating jobs.

GOP lawmakers later Thursday will roll out their "Pledge to America" — a 21-page document filled with familiar proposals to slash taxes and spending and cut down on government regulation, as well as repeal President Barack Obama's health care law and end his stimulus program.

The article went on to say that the proposals are thin on specifics about how republicans would go about implementing this agenda. I think that is a losing move. Voters will want to go to the polls in 40 days knowing exactly what they are voting for rather than conservative platitudes and lip service. These are hard questions to answer but if they don't have the answers now, then they are just more empty, election-year promises and if they do have the answers, why not share them? Unlike democrat voters who fall every two years for feel-good rhetoric, race baiting, and wild promises, smart conservative voters, want specifics on spending cuts, tax policy, Obama-policy rollbacks, etc.

The stealth platform isn't going to cut it on November 2.

UPDATE: You can go here and see the pledge.

There's trouble brewing in Mass. CD-4

If you've got a pile of money burning a hole in your pocket and you've already given some to Christine O'Donnell in Delaware, you might consider throwing some in the direction of Massachusetts-4 and the campaign of Sean Bielat. He has quietly narrowed the lead held by the despicable Barney Frank to 11 points and Frank's approval numbers are below the magical 50% he needs to guarantee keeping his job.

Truly Obama's world would shake if Barney Frank were to get the unceremonial boot on Nov. 2nd. Only Nancy Pelosi losing hers would be better but we'll take what we might be able to get.

Here's Frank either drumming up votes among his dwindling supporters or fondling a capital hill intern at a party, or both.

Autumnal Equinox

So you people proved that you are well-read in the classics, with three of you successfully identifying an obscure Macbeth reference in one of Monday's posts. Now let's test your scientific acumen.

Today marks the autumnal equinox for 2010. Without Googling it or otherwise cheating, what is the significance of this point? What does it mean? If you are a dumb-hippie pagan, it's time to celebrate the Chakraladytree's bountiful harvest and grace or some such crap. That's not what I mean.

All your salaries are belong to us

WOW! Just WOW!

The UK's tax collection agency is putting forth a proposal that all employers send employee paychecks to the government, after which the government would deduct what it deems as the appropriate tax and pay the employees by bank transfer.

I guess the next logical step toward complete, oppressive socialism is for the government to pay every salary of every citizen after it takes what it wants out. I don't know how that's much different from what we do here in America already. The government already seizes what it wants from our checks before it comes to us, thanks to the insidious 16th amendment. At least our government lets us save a little face by pretending that we are paying our taxes rather than having them taken from us. Great Britain is dispensing with the charade and just forking it all over to the feds. British citizens will just have to accept whatever their overlords in government deem is an appropriate income for everybody.

The gift that keeps on giving

VP Joe Biden never disappoints. Somebody named Mark Knoller just Tweeted that Joe Biden remarked earlier today that he was second in line to the Presidency. What a dork. Somebody should remind him that he's first in line to the Presidency, the Speaker of the House is second.

One more Christine O'Donnell post

Here's some more Christine O'Donnell news for you all. Apparently she's in favor of the states dealing with illicit drugs rather than the behemoth federal bureaucracy....

According to Will McVay, Chairman of the Kent County Libertarian Party, O'Donnell was asked specifically during Q&A about issue of drug legalization. She said:

"Drug policy should be decided at the state level, not the federal level."

Well what do you know? She's also a federalist. Promoting states' rights goes a long way toward reducing the size and reach of the tentacles of the government and as any good libertarian knows, the war on drugs is a complete and utter disaster. The feckless media will trot out the predictable "soft on crime" charge but it won't stick as long as social conservatives don't fall for it.

Double, double toil and trouble

Does this bit of Christine O'Donnell's distant past spell trouble for her at the ballot box?

From Yahoo -- LINCOLN, Del. – Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell is making light of comments she made more than a decade ago when she was in high school about having dabbled in witchcraft.

"How many of you didn't hang out with questionable folks in high school?" she asked fellow Republicans at a GOP picnic in southern Delaware on Sunday.

O'Donnell's comments about witchcraft were made during a 1999 taping of comedian Bill Maher's "Politically Incorrect" show.

"I dabbled into witchcraft. I never joined a coven," she said on the show, a clip of which hit the Internet as O'Donnell canceled Sunday appearances on two national news shows, citing commitments to attend church and the GOP picnic in Delaware.

"I hung around people who were doing these things. I'm not making this stuff up. I know what they told me they do," O'Donnell told Maher.

"One of my first dates with a witch was on a satanic altar, and I didn't know it. I mean, there's little blood there and stuff like that," she said. "We went to a movie and then had a little midnight picnic on a satanic altar."

So she made the comments a decade ago and they were about some youthful associations even further back than that. Big whup! I seriously don't think she will be held to account for a dumb thing or two she did in high school. Good grief! If high school were held against us, we'd all be ineligible for every job we've ever held. Only the most strident social conservatives will be bothered by this revelation, and strident social conservatism is something from which the GOP should distance itself. Economic and small-government conservatism is all republicans should be caring about.

Honestly, I wouldn't care if she was a currently practicing witch with a black pointy hat and a wart on her nose. I'd still vote for her if she promised to fight for economic liberty, lower taxes, and small, limited government.

To win a virtual cookie: without cheating, what is the source that is referenced in the title of this post?

Re-election....by any means necessary

Embittered, entrenched RINO Lisa Murkowski, former Alaska Senator, is pissed that Alaskans didn't vote for her in the GOP primary. Instead of manning-up and conceding like most political losers, she's decided to attempt to re-entrench herself in the US Senate by running as an independent, write-in candidate, or libertarian.

That she's decided to make this startling announcement on Friday night at 9:00(the exact time when the white house dumps bad news so that nobody knows about it until Monday because nobody is watching TV at that time) shows her tone deafness and political clumsiness. That she's even considering a re-election bid following a primary loss exposes her as a pouting, sour-grapes, career politician....or precisely what conservative voters are trying to rid themselves of. Conservative voters aren't in the mood for go-along republicans who've clearly come to like the trappings of power and privilege a little too much and have forgotten that they were elected as republicans to defend the Constitution and advance conservative principles in the face of the insidious, rotten creep of liberalism. This kind of petulant, childish reaction to losing an election, repeated in Florida, Pennsylvania, and other states, only alienates conservative voters further. Clinging to power by any means available, regardless of how preposterous or transparently craven it makes you, is unbecoming of an elected official and anyone who tries it deserves to be kicked to the curb by voters.

Stop, look, and listen at Purdue U., not so much

At first glance you might think this is at your kid's grade school but, it's coming to Purdue University where the students are so stupid that they keep walking out in front of cars and getting hit. The school is hiring dozens of grade-school-like crossing guards to help the mentally retarded boilermaker student body safely cross the streets to class. Replied one kid who was asked about the new paid positions on campus.....

"Personally I think it's embarrassing because we are grown adults now. When I was in undergrad and we didn't have the yield sign, it was pretty obvious you don't take the right of way from cars. And now people just... I mean, they are on their iPods and they are walking and jamming across the street, and then they get hit," said Trzupek.

And get hit they should. Kids in this generation are so used to their helicopter parents making their world absolutely risk-free from physical harm, hurt feelings, bad grades, a losing score, or poorly attended birthday parties, etc., that they can't even cross the street safely without help. The answer to adult students getting run over isn't to make their carelessness consequence free, it's to stop nannying and coddling them and force them to be responsible, independent pedestrians. There are no crossing guards in the real world. Isn't college supposed to prepare you to live successfully in the real world?

Harry Reid gives Chris Coons the kiss of death

Despite the dire predictions of her unelectability by the likes of Charles Krauthammer and Karl Rove, Christine O'Donnell may have been handed all she needs to win by none other than the despicable Harry Reid. Here's Reid talking to a reporter about democrat Chris Coons, O'Donnell's opponent....

"I'm going to be very honest with you — Chris Coons, everybody knows him in the Democratic caucus. He's my pet. He's my favorite candidate. … I just think the world of him. He's my pet."

If there's a more disastrous kiss of death than Harry Reid calling you his "pet", I can't think of one.

I hope you Nevadans are proud of your representation.

Tea Party outrage explained

As you know, Michelle Malkin sold Hotair for maybe millions, and the new host is a guy named Allahpundit. Anyway, I was reading some of the comments regarding the O'Donnell win over Castle in Delaware and this guy whose handle is picklesgap explained far better than I ever could, why the tea party people are so steamed at establishment republicans, so I copied it and here it is....

Let me explain why the establishment like castle SUCK

The whole thing is this, Allah.
Every election… EVERY @#$%@ ELECTION, conservatives in the GOP are told to suck it up and walk a mile with the “electable” moderate candidate (bush i, dole, bush ii, mccain). we are told to shut up, get in line, and get out the vote. sure, we knock on doors and hand out flyers and work hard — because we are all part of the GOP. but still, even though we don’t “LOVE” our guy, we support him.
now, in 2010, for the first time since what, 1964? 1980? the establishment ayatollahs haven’t gotten their way.
Got that? the FIRST ELECTION IN 30-45 YEARS that MIGHT be a TRUE CONSERVATIVE election —-
—and the establishment acts like a bunch of spoiled 12-year-old girls.
Florida: Crist runs as an indie
Pennsylvania: SPecter runs as a dem
Alaska: Murkow trying to run as a lib
Delware: Castle badmouthing gop, wont even CALL christine
Nevada: tarkanian bashing angle STILL
Kentucky: mcconnell acting pissy about rand paul
you see, the FIRST AND ONLY TIME IN DECADES that the “conservatives” are having their way….
…..the “establishment” won’t get in line.
we’ve fallen in line for 50 years, NOW we have ONE SINGLE TIME — and they all take their toys and go home.
Screw that allah — surely you can see it’s massively unjust. All those donations over the decades, for what? we’re basically pawns to their kings!

Right you are picklesgap! Right you are! YEAH!!!

Too little, too late

Yesterday the democrat party announced a major change for today. A new fund-raising strategy? A position change on tax cuts? Obama agreeing to not run in 2012?

We should be so lucky. No, they've changed their logo.....yippeeee!

Short of massive, across-the-board tax cuts, the dismantling of the welfare state by abolishing the departments of Education, Interior, and Energy, closing the borders, and the adoption of the FairTax as the cornerstone of their November platform, the democrats can do nothing to quell the outrage Americans have toward their "leadership" under The One. Simple rebranding at this point in the game is arguably the stupidest, most transparent gesture they could make and only serves to demonstrate their cluelessness.

They assume that their policies are wonderful and simply communicating them inadequately to the American people explains why we're not happy. They couldn't be more wrong and they'll learn that in about six weeks.

Sign, sign, everywhere a sign

Do you people feel as cheated as I do every time you see one of these stupid signs? They're using stimulus money to make propaganda signs to get you to support the stimulus. It's idiotic!

Some republicans in DC have started a map of these signs to publicize just how big of a waste they are....I mean other than to the sign makers, who're making out like bandits at our expense. If you see one of these ridiculous stimulus signs in your town, take a picture of it and mail it in, with the location information, to the following address......

stimulussigns@mail.house.gov

When they put up the first map, I'll give a link to it. You can see if your stupid sign is represented.

Cornyn has a sudden change fo heart

Update on the Christine O'Donnell issue with establishment GOP in Washington: Over at Politico, Ben Smith has a piece detailing how GOP leader John Cornyn has reversed course 180 degrees since last night's dismissive comments about O'Donnell's beating entrenched republican Castle in Delaware's primary. Apparently the republican base lit up the phone lines, e-mails, and fax machines in Cornyn's office and let him know unequivocally that the GOP machine had better support her in the general election whether they think she's got a chance or not of winning.

This is a good sign for conservatives in America. We are taking back the republican party from pretend conservatives one seat at a time and installing actual conservatives in their places. Who knows if O'Donnell can win in November, but as the republican nominee, she deserves every effort from her party to help her defeat the liberal democrat. What was Cornyn going to do, support the democrat?

Asking for it

In case you aren't a sports fan, this is Ines Sainz, she covers the NFL and other sports for TV Asteca. Over the weekend she tweeted about how embarrassed she was when she was treated to cat calls and whistles from Jets players in the locker-room after a practice.

These are pictures of her at work, doing her job. Now, I'm not condoning sexual harassment and certainly if she felt threatened or was touched in any way, that qualifies as harassment and should not be tolerated but, COME ON!

You don't dress like a hooker and then expect to not draw some male attention. She's lucky all they did was whistle and make a couple of comments. A woman doesn't put her lady-parts on display and then complain when men react to it. I don't feel sorry for her one bit. I think she saw the attention that Erin Andrews got from being a victim and thought she could make a name for herself that way too. The difference is that Erin Andrews was actually the victim of a crime. Ines is the victim or beneficiary of her own bad fashion judgement, depending on how you look at it.

Here are some other pictures of her at work. It's inappropriate and unprofessional at least.

Out with the old, in with the new

Establishment republicans took it on the chin last night....

Tea Party favorite Christine O'Donnell beat nine-term Republican Rep. Mike Castle in Delaware's GOP Senate primary.

In addition, long-time republicans lost primaries to tea-party candidates in New York and possibly New Hampshire. Despite the predictions and dire warnings of establishment conservatives Karl Rove and Charles Krauthammer(both of whom I admire and respect), conservative voters in these states voiced their outrage at how the old-school GOP has utterly failed repeatedly to advance conservative principles.

This morning, beltway republicans are lamenting in particular, the victory of Christine O'Donnell, because she's not their idea of the perfect GOP candidate, and are threatening to withhold GOP funding of her general election run. This sour-grapes attitude at losing one of their good-old-boys to a tea-party unknown is precisely why garden-variety conservatives are kicking to the curb everybody in office for whom there is a conservative replacement.

I say, excellent!!! Hill republicans have been a conservative embarrassment for 20 years and it's about time to get some new, true conservative blood in Washington.

Footnote: if the national GOP machine does not enthusiastically endorse and support Christine O'Donnell's bid to replace Joe Biden's vacant seat in the Senate, then they'll not get another dime of my money and I suggest you do the same.

This has to take the cake for the stupidest thing ever on which our benevolent overlords have wasted our tax money....

From Yid with Lid -- The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), spent $823,200 of economic stimulus funds in 2009 on a study by a UCLA research team to teach uncircumcised African men how to wash their genitals after having sex.

Are you friggin' kidding me? If grown men can't practice basic hygiene, then they deserve to suffer from whatever drippy-causing disease they expose themselves to.

Union servitude

While labor unions may have served a useful purpose at the turn of the century where worker safety issues were concerned, they are now little more than politically active extortion syndicates.

In Michigan, absurdly, the United Auto Workers have gotten help from idiot Gov. Jennifer Granholm to unionize at-home providers of health and day-care, which number 40,000. Each has to cough up $100 a year in protection money to union thugs whether they like it or not. Thankfully there are some citizens who're not taking this lying down and have filed a law suit against mandatory union membership.

The insidious creep of socialism continues unabated unless determined citizens stand resolute against it.

Dems will try anything to get votes

Democrat operatives are so desperate for voter turnout in November, they're attempting to take advantage of the Twitter popularity of oddly-coiffed dweeb, Justin Bieber, by flooding Twitterland with political messages with Justin's name as a tag. Never mind that the age of the children who follow this guy is around 12, that he's Canadian, and is far too young to vote.

I guess if cheating democrats can get convicts, felons, corpses, and illegal aliens to vote for them, why not children too?

Susan Sarandan is delusional

Self-centered narcissism is never more evident than with President Obama, unless it's with nitwit, Hollywood celebrities. Vapid, leftist rube Susan Sarandan lamented that "the nation mourned", referring to her divorce from other liberal moron, Tim Robbins. She actually thinks there are Americans who care about her life. Perhaps there are....I call them fatally-distracted Obama voters, without whom the woefully inept community agitator couldn't have been installed into the white house by the awful media.

"The nation mourned".....give me a break!

The Quran bonfire is apparently off....for now, and the dozens of media types camped out in the hot Florida sun by day and swatting mosquitoes by night can't take it any more. It's taken a full week for them to figure out that this story is entirely driven by them. When the church spokesman came out to make a statement yesterday, one hilariously fed up reporterette asked.....

“Are you just toying with us to get attention?”

No, seriously. She asked that.....apparently with a straight face too.

If Pastor Jones doesn't burn any Qurans, the media will have to confront the stone-cold fact that they created this story entirely because it fit their reporting template of America=racist Islamophobes while terrorists=poor, put-upon peasants resisting American imperialism. This is why they've been camped outside the compound of a kooky preacher who looks like a circus ring-master and his 50 or so inbred followers. They couldn't resist the possibility of reporting on how racist and hateful Americans are.

Hopefully Jones will not burn any Qurans and we'll all get to enjoy for days the media trying in vane to explain their obsession with this idiotic non-story.

9/11.....never forget

With the media lecturing us how hateful and anti-Islamic we are as a nation, it would be easy to be silent and not remember who the bad guys are in order to not be thought of as racist. But where ever you are today, remember what was done to us on 9/11, 2001 and who did it.

The condescending British

In case you're interested, some insufferable socialist from across the pond named Piers Morgan is replacing Larry King on CNN. In one of his first interviews since, he couldn't help but kiss Obama's butt.....

In a Thursday interview with CBS Early Show special contributor Amanda Holden, Larry King replacement Piers Morgan talked about his new CNN show and who would be at the top of his guest list: "Well, I'd love to do President Obama. I like what he's done for the reputation of America abroad, which I'm not sure many Americans fully understand."

The second on Morgan's list: "Bill Clinton, another one....One of the most charismatic people I've ever seen."

Just what we need...another Obama-suck-up from Great Britain to lecture us each night about how we Americans aren't smart enough to appreciate all that The One has done for America abroad. I never watched even a single show of King's and I certainly won't be watching this limey's drivel either. Morgan can take a long walk off a short pier, and take Paul McCartney with him.

Friday morning tunes

This is Gaelic Storm. They're an up-and-coming Celtic rock band. We got to see them perform a lot on the recent Sailing Southern Ground cruise. Check it out.....

Media created hysteria

Here are the headlines over on Drudge this morning.....

Tennessee preacher to burn Quran...
Topeka, Kansas church vows burning...
Protester plans to burn on Wyoming's Capitol steps...

The media's ridiculous obsession with this idiot down in Florida and his 50 inbred followers, not to mention the Obama administration embarrassingly groveling before him, pleading with him not to burn any Qurans, has created copycat Quran burners all over America who're looking for their 15 minutes in the spotlight.

Phone calls to Terry Jones from administration officials have elevated this nobody to D-list celebrity status. Ostensibly the Obama administration's objection to the burning is so it won't endanger the troops. But they are troops, they know they are in danger already. That's why they're called troops.

Additionally, where was the liberal media's phony concern for the troops when they insisted that the Abu Ghraib torture pictures be plastered all over the New York Times fish-wrapper? It's not about protecting the troops. It's about liberal's contempt for America and their consistent siding with our enemies.

Rules for Life

This was reported to have been written by Bill Gates, but I have my doubts. He's too liberal to have thought of these. At any rate, they are excellent adages for your high-school kid to understand. Feel free to copy and paste it into a document, print it, laminate it, and stick it to his/her forehead with a thumb tack......

Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2: The world doesn't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

Government mandated stupidity

The last plant that manufactures light bulbs in America will close it's doors at the end of this month putting 200 Americans out of work. Not because there is no demand for its product, but because the imperial socialist government has mandated it in order to be slavishly obedient to the environmentalist morons who actually believe in global warming, despite the fact that the Earth is cooling.

Obama preposterously lectures us about all the jobs he's saved or created, even though the unemployment rate continues to rise near 10%. An observant news consumer might ask, "Where are the green-jobs that Obama promised, building compact fluorescent bulbs to replace the incandescent ones they've outlawed"?

Like all of America's manufacturing base....in China of course. The new bulbs are dimmer, they flicker, are more expensive, contain dangerous amounts of mercury, and constitute a dangerous health hazard if broken or disposed of without a hazmat team. By 2014, the government mandates that all bulbs in use be stupid CFB's, even though nobody wants them. Is this the kind of country you want to live in? Me neither. Remember that when you go to the polls in a little less than 8 weeks from now.

Media creates a story, then reports on it

This idiot who runs this stupid little cult of 50 other idiots is just trying to get some publicity for his cult and the media stupidly oblige him....

From MyWayNews -- GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - The leader of a small Florida church that espouses anti-Islam philosophy said Wednesday he was determined to go through with his plan to burn copies of the Quran on Sept. 11, despite pressure from the White House, religious leaders and others to call it off.

"We are still determined to it, yes," the Rev. Terry Jones told the CBS Early Show.

How can 51 morons threaten the Religion of Peace which has hundreds of millions of practitioners? It can't, except when the main-stream media pick up the story and breathlessly report about how these people are indicative of conservative hatred of Islam in general. If the media want to protect the delicate Muslims around the world, just ignore this cretin and his retarded flock of inbreds.

Good grief people! This stuff isn't hard to figure out.

Playing the race card

NY state senator Eric Adams(left) was whining about the New York fish wrappers calling for himself and John Sampson(right) to be thrown out of office....

From NYDailyNews -- “When you look at the press, when you look at The Times and look at The Daily News, they’re talking about ‘throw the bums out’ and the dysfunction in Albany because we’re not functioning the way they used to do business. This is about removing men of color from power. And that’s not going to happen."

Too often, black politicians, who've gotten used to the trappings of power to the point that their constituents no longer have confidence in their representation, resort to the racism charge against their critics regardless of the merits or substance of the criticism. This won't win them any votes. No voter appreciates being labelled a racist just for disagreeing with a black politician. Moreover, it dilutes the charge of racism when there actually is some racism to be exposed. Nobody believes it exists as often as these guys claim, because it doesn't. Black politicians only do themselves and other black politicians a disservice by throwing the racism around so cavalierly.

Back to the rat race

Just got back last night from 5 days on the Sailing Southern Ground cruise to Grand Cayman, hosted by the Zac Brown Band and like 15 other groups. We're pretty much spoiled now for nice, relaxing, quiet cruises. If there aren't loud bands playing 24/7, it just won't be any fun. This pic is the first day at sea with ZBB playing their welcome concert on the main deck. Our other fav's were Michael Franti and Spearhead and Gaelic Storm. Check those guys out when you get a chance.

A big thanks to Reid for minding the store while I was away. Now it's back to the drudgery of real life, news, and politics.

The Peaceful Religion Strikes Again

Here we go! PFC Naser Abdo is a Muslim. He is also a soldier in the US Army. He wants out because he says he is a conscientious objector.
"Islam is a peaceful religion, it's not a religion of warfare," Abdo said. "And it's not a religion of terror. As a Muslim, we stand against injustice, we stand against discrimination, and I feel it's my duty as an individual to do this."
First lets deal with the lunacy of this situation. Abdo enlists (remember folks the draft is over. He volunteered!). He has gone through basic military training and been paid for this. Now that he is ready to actually serve(where/when he can actually be in harms way), he decides to opt out. What a crock of horse dribble! Get over yourself there Naser. Cowboy up and finish your tour of duty like a man. Now let look at the big picture and the lie.Don't give me this "Islam is a peaceful religion horse hockey. We have all seen the peaceful way the Muslims bombed the Twin Towers. We have all seen the London subway destruction and its massive loss of lives. We have all witnessed the American soldiers dying at the hands of these "peaceful" terrorists. We have all heard the leaders badmouth and demean this country and "peacefully" suggest that we should all be killed as infidels. Now that's a lovely pastoral thought process from your religion!
All hogwash Naser. You are waking up and realizing that you are in a bad situation and are looking for an easy way out. Stop and deal with the results of a poor decision you made, but do it honorably and ethically and most of all morally. Transfer to a different division, but serve out your tour. Its okay to be scared and not want to fight, but not okay to go back on your word.
If George Patton were alive he would slap you with his gloves and "send your chicken #@$% ass back to the front. There would be no cowards in his place of honor.
What part of the hoopla and rah-rah recruitment stuff did yo miss? Its time to be a man. You made a bad decision. Live with it and pray to your "God" that he will see you through. Now go pick up your gun and walk your post!

Here We Go Again

The Obama administration has once again unfairly burdened the fragile taxpayer and seeded the economy with yet another negligent deal. By 2011 the healthcare market will be required to be paperless. I know some good things will develop, but lets not do this at taxpayer expense both ways. $19 in stimulus money starts the process ( obviously funded by us taxpayers eventually) but can't we all wait for the rise in our healthcare expenses that come with this. Technology upgrades, servers, and other varied costs, etc. will all be passed along to the consumer from the insurance companies and the healthcare providers, as they are forced into this new realm.
I understand that now a Dr. can review meds to make sure that none clash. I see that it will be easier for a med shop to pull up my records if I'm traveling, etc. but happens to patient privacy. When does the hospital medical records computer get hacked and now all those "private" surgeries become public? Who wants to share that gastric bypass info, or the facial they had done "while on vacation. What about that little abortion the folks wanted to be kept quiet for their 15 year old angel/ Where does this stop. When will the government stop trying to get into my business more and more. I want you to leave me alone Mr. O! Stay in your back yard and leave me to my private life, 'cause if you have your way I soon won't have one.
